I've been put into a coma by Hawk's inane ramblings about long term contracts and the DL. The other day he was railing against full NTCs. Doesn't MB have something that approaches a full NTC?

How old is this guy? Will he at least do well through the first 2 or 3 innings? Hopefully so. I was hoping that the White Sox would bring up Hudson for this game, then pitch him again on regular rest 8/24 against Boston. Then the Sox could pick their poison between Freddy and Jose for the next game rather than having to throw them both in Fenway.

Why compare Strasburg's contract to what RJ, Pedro, and Smoltz make? They're all broken down and/or are only playing part of the season. He's also making more than Bob Gibson, Sandy Koufax, and Cy Young will or did make.

My guess is that people can see themselves driving drunk, but can not see themselves torturing dogs. They consider themselves good people and thus torturing dogs must be worse.

So is purposeful harm always worse than negligence no matter the end result?
