  1. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ May 19, 2014 -> 02:34 PM) I think that is probably the best path, moving him to the bullpen regardless of the level. You don't want him to hit his innings cap in July and sit and watch the rest of the season. I'd rather they just limit every start of his to 4 IP, and keep him on a 5 day schedule, than have him pitch 3 times a week throwing 2 IP or whatever. 20 starts x 4 IP = 80 innings or whatever the remaining magic number is.
  2. Hope Shaw is back for Game 2. When was the last time he was in a game? 2 1/2 weeks now?
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 18, 2014 -> 08:22 PM) Damn. For some reason I can't find out what year Abreu got moved to the Red Sox or how, but his career numbers have been thus.... 2014 - .243, 25 HR, 65 RBI 2015 - .298, 39 HR, 121 RBI 2016 - .289, 30 HR, 89 RBI 2017 - .232, 35 HR, 97 RBI 2018 (couple weeks left) - .251, 29 HR, 107 RBI 158 career HR in his first 5 seasons. Not too shabby. He is only an 80 overall though.
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 18, 2014 -> 05:39 PM) Hossa left his feet. SUSPEND HIM!
  5. If there is ever someone to side with the refs/ump 99% of the time, whether it's hockey or baseball, regardless of the call, we know who it will be. I just wish I was able to jump on here during the game and call that.
  6. I am surprised at the amount of people who are saying they think it's a good thing for Danish to get smacked around. I don't know about you, but I'd rather see him dominate at every level, forever. I think of all the places to struggle, A+ ball is a suitable place for it, but I was certainly hoping for success today over failure.
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 18, 2014 -> 01:14 AM) Over 12 games into my franchise and Abreu still doesn't have a home run :/ In my RTTS, I am in the year 2017 or 2018, and Abreu is on the Red Sox, hitting cleanup.
  8. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 16, 2014 -> 06:19 PM) 11 Ks for Sale through 4 innings. What's the minor-league record? Should go for that, bollocks to pitch counts. I'm going to guess it's less than 25. lol.
  9. 11 K through 4 IP.....uhh......
  10. Chris Sale has 8 Ks through 3 IP. IS THAT GOOD??? I think it's safe to say, he's back.
  11. 10-pitch AB results in an Adam Eaton single up the middle.
  12. 6 former White Sox players playing in this game in Charlotte. 4 of them for us, 2 for them.
  13. Sale with a perfect 1st, 2 K. Eaton 0-1, with a K. Micah is 1-1. Davidson just hit his 4th HR.
  14. While I'm at it, here is a Day in the Life of Brady Aiken and a possible 2nd RD choice, Jakson Reetz.....
  15. I guess Kolek isn't as big as I thought he'd be. I mean, he is thick, but he looks pretty athletic for his size. Also, he seems pretty likable too.
  16. I'm achin' to get Brady with our 3rd pick. AMIRITE??!?!?!?!?!?
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 16, 2014 -> 02:29 PM) So who are we rooting for tonight? Home ice is always nice, as is not having to fly to CA tomorrow, but I really think the Kings are a better team and they worry me more. It's gonna be a tough series regardless the opponent of course. Kings are the better matchup for the Hawks, IMO. Who do they even have after the Kopitar line? Plus home-ice advantage is always pretty nice.
  18. It is supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow at our lake house.....and we have to put the piers in. Cool. Can't wait to be standing in like 35 degree water all day tomorrow.
  19. QUOTE (juddling @ May 16, 2014 -> 03:28 AM) Blacklist has been great all year. glad they wrapped up the husband storyline and didn't drag it out. As far as Red?Lizzie goes Red told her that her father was badly burned in the fire when she was little. End of the show showed Red with a lot of burns on his back so take from that what you will......... It was a pretty good week of tv.....as some great tv seasons came to a close including SHIELD, Person of Interest, The Americans, Blacklist, and Orpahn Black has been great so far........ Right, which is just the 100th hint to us that he is her father, but I am saying I hope that isn't true, since it's been hinted at so much the entire season. He could have still been her uncle and tried to save both Lizzie and her father. Maybe he got Lizzie out of the fire, but he didn't get a chance to save his brother, Lizzie's dad. That could explain why Red believes he is definitely dead, but maybe he escaped from the fire and used it as an opportunity to get away from the responsibilities of being a dad, if he truly is such a bad guy that Red was hinting at him being.
  20. Thank god Recchia is finally moving to AA. I talked a little about him with Stoltz a week or so ago, and he felt he should have started the year in AA and agreed with me that while his numbers are impressive, they are in line with what they should be if he plans to be a real prospect.
  21. So what's the story of Lizzie's real dad in The Blacklist? Is it Red's brother or something? Surely he can't actually be her dad, they've hinted at that for the entire season. I'm going to guess he's her uncle.
