QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 05:38 PM) When you buy an apartment just make sure its over 200k, I read on the gta forums that every apartment over 200k is identical inside and they all have the heist room youll need for when they release the ability to do heists. Yeah, there was one in the $235K range that I heard was the exact same as the $400K one, which is the most expensive one you can buy. Now that goal seems incredibly far away.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 05:22 PM) It blows my mind how much time people spent doing that mission over and over. If it was fun thatd be one thing, but I dont see how someone could do that and enjoy it. Id be more inclined to pay cash for in game money than I would to do the same mission for hours on end. I was hoping to get enough money to buy a decent apartment, which would have taken me about a half hour or so. A kid in one of my classes had something like $1.4M from doing that mission, and he was doing it BEFORE the 15 second exploit came out. He was actually spending 3-4 minutes per attempt. He already has over 40 hours of online play, largely because of that.

The Year in Hawk Harrelson Being Awful

Oh mother f***er. The "Violent Duct" exploit missions has been used by so many people....except me. Someone even found a glitch to complete the mission in 15 seconds. That's $9000 in 15 seconds. And now they've patched it out. So now we have a GTA Online world where a lot of people have over a half a million dollars or even a couple million from using that exploit, and the rest of us are dirt poor. Or, if you are like me, you've planned on making that easy money, so you spent a large portion of what you had. I just dropped like $25K in to beefing up a car, and now I am back down to 60K. f***ing s***.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) It built to the finale like Breaking Bad, the two episodes leading to he finale were awesome. The finale.....well just wait and see. My wife and I had very different opinions. I just finished the water episode. I think I just have those last 2 left.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 01:28 PM) If anyone watches Hell on Wheels, did you think the finale was creepy, odd and somewhat uncomfortable. I'm about to start catching up on HoW right now. I'm glad that somehow none of the 3 or 4 episodes I have left have not been ruined yet. I'll let you know when I finish the season.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 01:33 PM) What I don't get is why TV's can't PIP 2 separate HDMI sources. It infuriates me. I'd love to be able to play Madden on my PS3 while watching a game. I would think playing a game with a tv screen in the corner would be pretty tough. Luckily for me, my TV and my computer are about a foot apart from eachother, so on Sundays I pull up football games on my laptop while playing NHL '14 on mute on my TV. Or when Chris Sale was pitching I did the same thing.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 9, 2013 -> 10:01 AM) There was a very popular shirt at IU that said "We don't have football games, we have tailgates." The only thing that can begin to change that attitude is consistently being at least 8-4. I went to all the football games (and stayed for the whole game!) when I was at IU, but I was definitely in the minority. We rock the "Win or lose, we still booze" shirts. -

So tomorrow is the first game of the "Keep the Red Out" campaign that the Predators and Blues are putting on to stop Blackhawks fans from attending hockey games at their arenas. However, tomorrow's Hawks game vs. the St. Louis Blues will be played at the SAME TIME as the Pirates and Cardinals game, also in St. Louis. So, we may in fact see a lot of Blues fans selling their tickets to Hawks fans so they can attend playoff baseball over regular season hockey, or even stay home and watch an elimination playoff baseball game over going to see the Blues. Moral of this story. Hawks fans are going to paint the Scottrade Center red tomorrow, and there is nothing they can do about it. GO HAWKS! -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) Raise your hand if you remember waiting for files to download on Napster, Limewire, Bearshare, gnutella, kazaa etc. Raise your hand again if you would have a file download up to 99 percent and then stop and never start back up. My brothers and I used Napster briefly, and then KaZaa, and we'd each take turns downloading like 10-15 songs at a time, which took like 35-40 minutes a song. Movies had download overnight.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 07:33 PM) Trey is a borderline lottery pick as I understand it. NBAdraftnet has him projected at #9 as of today. I worry about his work ethic, but the talent is there. I still believe McGary will be a better pro player. Is "Trey" a nickname for Glenn Robinson III? -
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) Gravity is pretty great in my eyes. I'm curious to know why you were interested in this movie. Are you interested in outer space? The actors in the movie? Or what? Because I've seen the trailer so many times on TV and I have absolutely 0 idea of what the movie is about, besides the fact that a spaceship apparently explodes

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 08:25 PM) Wait, that war number doesn't make sense next to the stats you replied to, was all his value defense and ballpark adjustments? A .277 average and 7 home runs shouldn't give a war that high? He was giving career averages for whatever reason. He hit .268 with 10 HR and 10 SB last year. He is considered a below replacement level hitter, but an extraordinary fielder with possibly the strongest OF arm I've ever seen.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 07:19 PM) No, but Eminor is saying a move can't be announced until after the World Series, so it's possible he's already picked a team and we simply won't find out for a few weeks. Oh, well I was figuring he wouldn't even pick a team until around Xmas, or at least until after the winter meetings when teams will start taking shape.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 06:12 PM) What moves can be announced during the playoffs? The Cubs just signed Ryan Sweeney to an extension. I guess I'm a bit surprised MLB would have a rule against announcing international free agent signings during the first round of the playoffs, given how few there are nowadays. That really sucks if we have to wait a couple weeks to find out who won the Abreu bidding. Wait, Abreu has signed with someone?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 04:14 PM) I actually agree with you there, the Sox might have gotten a good player but he basically lost 2 years where he should be developing to that injury. Another team might have had more success with him but unlikely since he was raw before the injury. What really drives me nuts is all the people saying how they knew we should have taken Trout. I actually once went back to that year's draft thread to check. The only response to Trout being drafted from the entire board was something similar to "the Angels sure do love their outfielders, don't they"? It's a dumb comment to make when something similar can be said for every draft in the past, and every draft from now on. Anytime you can retroactively look back at the best player from a draft class, if he wasn't taken #1 overall, then there will ALWAYS be at least 1 team that "should have known". You will drive yourself crazy thinking like that. This wasn't drafting Hayden Simpson.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 03:35 PM) 27 years old next year. .277 BA 7 HR 44 RBI 9 SB in a 135 game season average 15 assists and 3 errors in 123 attempts in RF last year. Has never played in CF more than 48 games in an entire season. And a 4.6 WAR last season, more than twice that of De Aza, and better than Rios ever did with the Sox, not to mention younger than Rios and De Aza, and even Jordan Danks for that measure.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 03:32 PM) Kid is a stud. He is going down to Purdue as I understand it, following some other kids from the Region, such as Kawan Short from East Chicago who was a second round pick this year for the NFL, and Ryan Issac who is probably going to be drafted from Michigan City. We see a ton more basketball players vs football players. Heck a quarter of the University of Michigan basketball roster came from the Duneland Athletic Conference. I'm hoping 5 years from now we will see both of Glenn Robinson's sons playing professional sports. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 03:49 PM) I've had the Genie system for a few days now and wow is it cool. No more being stuck watching some crap my wife tapes because we had 2 shows on at the same time. Also, I'm a huge fan of the PIP with 2 channels. Now I can flip from the game to something else and always know when the game comes back from commercial. It's amazing how much this old technology is welcomed like 20 years later. I was just talking to my dad about this a couple days ago, how we wish we still had the ability to PiP our shows on the TV. We were flipping back and forth between the ND/ASU game and the Hawks/Lightning game.
