It seems anyone who doesn't throw 90+ consistently will get compared to Buehrle, but unfortunately we may never see anyone else have the success Buehrle had w/ the Sox given his lack of typical pitcher skills.

I'd say Addison Reed is a top 10 closer in baseball.

MLBTR says that the Sox may have to potentially surrender their 2nd RD pick to sign Salty. If that's the case, I give it a big HELL NO. But for us to give up a pick means the Red Sox would have to offer Salty a qualifying offer, which is like $14M or something. How would he not take that 1 yr deal?

Considering I think we all expected to get no return at all for Crain, I think Bierman PLUS someone else is a very good trade in the end for us. I don't see a single thing about Bierman's numbers (outside of him being 24 in A-ball) that look bad to me. Sure, he isn't striking out 9 guys per 9 like you'd like to see, but when your control is that good, 5 or 6 K/9 turns in to a 3+ K/BB ratio, which is something you'd really want.

Just got back from seeing Jason Mraz here tonight at school. We were the first stop in his tour, and we were the first audience to get a taste of his new CD. Really liked most of the new songs. He was playing with Raining Jane, a group of 4 girls who he collab'd on the CD with. I enjoyed them as well. I give this concert 10 out of 10 fedoras. He didn't play much of his older songs, but it was a pretty long concert (2 1/2 to 3 hours).

My buddies and I did the "From Above" mission, or whatever it's called. It's a Martin mission. Holy f***, we spent over an hour and a half retrying it. Our strategy was to break in to the air force base and steal 3 fighter jets, which we used to just bombard the mansion with missiles, then we parachuted in and got the picture of the target. We tried this mission at least 13 or 14 times mostly because we would die getting the fighter jets, but then also because we would crash the fighter jets while shooting missiles, and then a few times we would die at the hand of the guards at the mansion while parachuting down. It was a mess, and only worth $5000. I suggest never even attempting that mission, at least not on HARD. Maybe on EASY it's okay. The mission where you break in to the air force base and get the helicopter was kind of cool considering we received $25K for doing it. That one took us at least 7 or 8 tries, but not as long of a mission.

Great start for me with Witten and Murray combining for 59 yards and TD on the opening drive.
