  1. Seriously, what has gotten into Burnside. He figured something out..... 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 10 K. He has struck out 9+ each of his last 4 starts. 27 1/3 IP, 41 K, 8 BB. He needs go get those walks down a little, but his K's have exploded. He struck out only 9 batters in his previous 6 starts, and then AVERAGED more than 9 in his next 4 starts. At age 24, and in Low-A, I really would like to see him moved up to W-S very soon. He still has a chance to be a decent prospect if he can be in AAA by time he is 25 or 26.
  2. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 12:08 AM) Why even insult Edwin? He had nothing to do with this loss. Should have gotten the W. Maybe we are supposed to take the question "how did we lose this game?" literally? Because I don't think you know. That's exactly what I was going to say. Jackson was winning when he left, hell Jackson was winning with 26 outs in the books, and 0 runners on base. Blame Santos, Blame Ozzie, Blame our offense who couldn't do jacks*** with RISP. Don't blame the guy who gave you 6 innings of 2 run ball.
  3. Golden opportunity to make up some major ground, and we s*** ourselves. Ah god damnit. Thank god Det/Cle lost, but s***, you can't give up a win with 2 outs against an awful offense and a team that has lost 10 straight games.......f***.
  4. Oh man, that's really bad luck. You better hope Sergio blows this for your sake.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 10:40 PM) Oprah's got huge juggs And she is filthy rich.
  6. QUOTE (NHDadUmp-RI @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) Joe Bisenius to Charlotte. Really? Isn't he like the 30-year-old guy?
  7. And Beckham channeling his inner Jeter instead of his brain.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 09:14 PM) Edwin is just so damn frustrating to watch pitch. Except for when he is on, then he is the most exciting pitcher on this team to watch. And again, Jackson gets scared by a grounder...... Ugh.
  9. Viciedo is 2/4, 2B, RBI Ross Wilson got HBP, and left the game. Drew Lee came in and is 2/3 with an RBI. Silverio is 2/3 with a HR, 4 RBI (grand slam). Now hitting .295. I really hope this kid is actually 20, or at least no older than 22 or 23. I'd love to see him pan out with us.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 08:59 PM) cool - we're going to f*** around and make this a close game. Way to go, boys. By the way, you need to update your sig. He is at 81 or 82 I believe.
  11. What the hell was that Edwin? He got scared of a soft linedrive.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 07:47 PM) Pierre decided that last nights successful bunt made him look too darn good. Honestly, he has a better shot getting on that way than actually using a full swing.
  13. Are they wearing throwback jerseys? That would be awesome.
  14. I don't know about you guys, but I am really pulling for the Sox to win by 1.5 runs tonight.
  15. And Snodgress promptly gives up a hit on a fastball right down the middle. Only threw 2 pitches, and now Snodgress is taken out of the game. He hit 91 MPH on the fastball. 0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB
  16. Scott Snodgress is now on to pitch for Stanford. Game is on ESPN2 right now. HURRY!
  17. Oh man, that's tough. Even picking us to win against a guy making his ML is risky enough. I honestly would not have even made any bet.
  18. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) Anyone seen any weather forecasts? Are they gonna have any issues getting this one in? Not supposed to start raining until 10 or 11. They should get this in.
  19. So Blake Drake has a twitter, and his twitter name is @BlakeJakeDrake. Man, I really hope Jake is his middle name! lol. Anyway, found it kind of interesting that according to his twitter, he went up to Chicago on Jun 2nd and visited US Cellular field. One of his tweets reads... "Hit 97 on the stadium gun at US cellular " I assume he is talking about himself. But when I have looked up scouting reports for this guy, it says he throws about 91. And I looked up a scouting video from 2009, and it showed him only hitting 88. Could he really have ramped up his velo that much? I understand "hitting 97" is not maintaining it, but I assume it means he can pump it in at 94-95 with some frequency.
  20. QUOTE (hawkubes @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 03:32 AM) its hilarious b****in about KW trading away Gio a half decade ago when he'd be our 7th pitcher right now. OK 6th with peavy hurt. Wait, what? Gio is a very good young pitcher, he would be like a #2 for us...
