  1. Damnit Dunn, we really needed a strikeout there.
  2. Indians just lost. Is that 4 straight losses now? Either way, let's get this win and make it 6 GB!
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Who? Juan Pierre? Lol, I didn't say "little" girl.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) Been jerkin' off over in the draft thread. How's Danksy lookin'? And how many times has Dunn struck out? Great (but slowly losing it), and once, on a BS high slider.
  5. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) WTF is wrong with you? Trust me, I hate Pierre A LOT, but this wasn't completely his fault. I do think he should have listened to Carlos telling him to go to 3B, and he should have hustled in to third when Carlos was in the pickle, not jog there, which allowed him to be tagged out, but it was not his fault for getting caught in between the bases.
  6. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:27 PM) What happend, now gameday says Carlos doubled Carlos hit a ball to the LF wall. OF caught the ball, hit the wall, and the ball came out of his glove. Pierre was on his way to 3rd when the ball was caught, and then once he saw the catch, he started to go back to 1B. Carlos (who never stopped running), was already almost at second and urged Pierre to turn back around and go to 3B (As Pierre didn't see the ball come out because he had already turned back for 1B). Quentin then got in a rundown to get Pierre to 3B. Pierre just jogged to 3B until he realized they threw to 3B. The tag was applied to Pierre at 3B, and Quentin strolled in to 2B for the double. Hope that helps. You'd have to see a replay.
  7. Pierre, however, should have listened to Quentin when he yelled at Pierre to keep running, and Pierre went back to 1st instead. Would like to see a picture in picture of how it happened.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:11 PM) What if the Sox signed Miranda Cosgrove? What then J4L? WHAT THEN?!
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) Not much except hes a toolsy OF. I don't remember reports on his defense though. Either him or Mahtook have questions on sticking in CF. Someone on another forum said he is basically Hunter Pence Jr.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) If he played for the White Sox he'd be our #1 prospect and future 'ace.' With Washington, he's just another guy when Strasburg gets healthy and Jordan Zimmerman in the fold. And I anticipate the Nationals being a cash cow very soon. So they'll be able to buy a pitcher if they have to. They've proven they'll spend money with the Werth signing. His point is that you are our very own Keith Law.
  11. @CJNitkowski CJ Nitkowski Always fun to watch MLB draft, or as I recall it "Trick the Scouting Director Day." Nomar, Konerko, Varitek, J. Wright all picked after me. LOL
  12. Just looked at Hayden Simpson's stats for this year. Not good. Such a s*** pick then and still now.
  13. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:28 PM) Cubs might get their original wish, and that is Bubba Starling. 2 Starlings on one team? Newspaper writers could love this.
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:27 PM) Clayton has a 5.97 era this year away from Petco and that's in the National League. And even in a "good" year last season, he struggled hardcore away from home. He's not good. I feel like you are somehow disagreeing with me.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Aaron Poreda. We literally traded nothing of value. Clayton Richard has been the best of those 4 that we traded, and he looks like a fringe #5 guy right now. The Peavy trade has really not worked out for either team, the only problem is we are paying him a ton of money.
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) The biggest piece in that trade for the Padres, Aaron Poreda. Who has been absolute garbage since he went to the Padres. Has yet to post a positive K/BB rate, even when sent down to AA.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) Adam Russel (now with the Rays), Clayton Richard (starting for the Padres), Dexter Carter (released by San Diego, back with us already) and one other pitcher I can't recall. The biggest piece in that trade for the Padres, Aaron Poreda.
  18. @ESPNChiSox Doug Padilla Peavy's MRI revealed a groin strain as expected. No DL move to announce yet. He will be evaluated on a day to day basis.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) Is it me, or did Linden drop about 15-20 pounds in a couple days? Lol, those compression pants made her legs look awfully skinny!
