  1. Everyone knew it was on purpose. Can't believe he didn't get tossed. Bats bench was going nuts. Eloy probs getting drilled soon.
  2. Ends the inning with a slow curve for a K. 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K (1 very intentional HBP)
  3. Fuck, you might be right.
  4. LMAO, Kopech then picks O'Grady off of 1st base on the hardest pick off throw I've ever seen. Kopech then started slapping his mitt in celebration. The guy holds a grudge.
  5. Would be a good excuse for Hahn to shut him down for 2018 and not worry about the fans b****ing at him over service time manipulation.
  6. Jesus, Kopech. O'Grady, the guy who bunted on Kopech in the 2nd inning and pissed him off, gets DRILLED with a 99 MPH fastball to his ass in his next AB. The benches clear, Kopech is restrained by Rondon. Ugh.
  7. Kopech allows 1 runner to reach in the 3rd via an error on Trayce, but then Zavala throws him out trying to steal 2nd. Kopech struck out the other 2 guys, one on a slider, the other on a fastball. 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K. The only non-strikeout outs have occurred on the bases.
  8. Kopech just missed a strike 3 call to end the inning. It was probably a ball, but very close. Then Zavala made a tremendous backhanded pick on a curveball in the dirt. Kopech strikes him out looking on a 96 MPH fastball to end the AB. 2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
  9. Kopech gives up a run on an RBI double to LF. Eloy relayed it back in, and they nailed the trail runner at home easily. 1-0 Bats
  10. Leadoff hitter in the 2nd bunted on Kopech, and Kopech got pissed off, faked like he was going to launch the ball in to the stands. It's not like he broke up the no-hitter with a bunt single in the 7th inning. It was only the 2nd, so I'm not sure why Kopech was so mad.
  11. Kopech just struck out the side EASILY in the 1st. Threw maybe 11 pitches, 10 for strikes. 1st K - Curveball at the shoetops 2nd K - 95 MPH fastball down the middle 3rd K - Curveball bounced in the dirt
  12. Madrigal is in danger of striking out twice in a game for the 2nd time in his life, and not since his sophomore year in HS.
  13. J-Rod also stole 2 more bags. He stole 2 last night as well. He now has 16 SB to 2 CS. Christofer Melendez's numbers are up big time since the Sox picked him up when the Astros released him. This is his 4th season in the DSL, but his K/9 has spiked from 8.23 in his 3 seasons combined, to 11.76 this season. That's like a 40% increase. And his BB/9 has dropped from 5.65 to 3.30. The Sox have also stretched him out to a starter, when he was entirely a reliever with the Astros. He's 20 years old, so I hope he comes stateside next year.
  14. Bush - 2/4, 2B, RBI Amado Nunez - 2/4, 2B, RBI. He's hitting .333 now as a 20-year-old. Quite a drastic improvement over his time in GF last season in a similar amount of PA when he batted .183. He has 21 XBH in 43 games in GF this year. Troutwine - 1/3, 2B, RBI. He has slowly but surely crept his AVG up to .300. RP Nick Johnson probably doesn't need much longer in GF. Our 21st RD pick this year has 23 IP, 20 H, 4 BB, 21 K and a 0.78 ERA. He just turned 23 last month, so this shouldn't be too eye-opening. For the AZL Sox, Ty Greene is 2/2 with 2 BB, SB. Weaver and Mieses are each 2/3. Sam Abbot has a walk, as usual.
  15. From what I remember, his range is ok for SS, good for 2B, but he has super smooth actions, slick hands, and great instincts.
  16. Also, Tito Polo HR'd again for AZL. I don't recall exactly why he got sent all the way down from AA, I assume injury, but he appears ready to get back there. He has 3 HR in 4 games, hitting .417, and has 5 BB and 3 SB.
  17. Maybe this UDFA P Kevin Folman that the Sox signed out of North Dakota St. should get bumped up to Great Falls soon. Tonight: 5 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 K. Season: 2.12 ERA, 21 K, 4 BB, 17 IP, 13 H, 1.00 WHIP He was strictly a reliever at NDST. He must be one of those guys the Sox have identified as SP after being RP in college.
  18. As others have said, I just hope he doesn't resign with the Red Sox, gets a new deal with an opt out, uses it, and basically never spends more than 3-4 years on any team and then the Sox have a chance at being on his HoF plaque! Of course if he wins a couple of Cy Youngs and World Series with the Red Sox....then shit.
  19. Magglio would be amazing, but I can't help but think of Dye every time.
  20. I was really rooting for that story, and the idea of Thome finding him, but he's been awful so far. Obviously crazy raw though.
  21. GET IN LINE, PAL
  22. Madson hit 2 batters, and another reached on what should have been an error (anything to help Heyward's batting avg).
  23. Guess what, it wasn't hypothetical. You're right, I'm not going to apologize for them assaulting my buddy.
  24. What is racist about that? Unless it you think they committed a hate crime, which I don't have any real reason to assume. They were just very concerned with cutting people off in the parking lot. Their son did use racial slurs, but none that actually made sense to the race in which he yelled them at.
