  1. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 02:22 AM) Haha. They actually have an agreement with a local fresh fish market or something along those lines to sell octopi to fans going to the Joe. Seems like 1) it would be extremely awkward, weird, annoying to carry around an octopus w/ you during the game 2) PETA would be pissed off about this.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 02:49 PM) So I'm stupid as well as thousands of other people? I am advanced with computers and work for a company that makes a top flight anti virus solution and still I've had issues with my PC's. I would actually say people who dive into the actual abilities of computers run into issues because of these things. My mom has a PC and has never had an issue because she does email and AOL. I use a PC at work and its one of the most locked down networks you'll ever see as well as a very managed piece of hardware. I've still had to fix OS issues as well as application problems. I'm pretty sure that the IT staff of a multi-billion dollar company isn't stupid. Ok, people who are great drivers get into car accidents too. But if you are a careless driver, you are more likely to get into crashes more often. Just because you have had a PC problem does not mean you are stupid, but not being stupid greatly reduces your chances. As long as you are not stupid w/ your computer and have a good virus protection, you SHOULD be fine.
  3. I would have done the first 2 trades.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) Pods is on fire. Seven stolen bases, playing great baseball. But ooh he's a bad baserunner. He got picked off a lot last year. That of course did not cost us the pennant. We could use's Pods' multi-hit potential right now. The guy has some pop in his bat. Juan does not. Watch how shallow outfielders play Juan. It is almost embarrassing. Yeah, at least Pods could hit it deep enough and hit out enough HR to makes the outfielders respect him.
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 11:55 PM) An Octopus was thrown onto the ice in the Detroit game.. That usually is great news for Detroit over the years. Problem is... the Octopus wound up having its legs crack when it was thrown. (I think it was its legs, or head, don't think thats ever happened before, but I'm not sure) Boom.. Detroit loses. What?!!? They actually throw real octopuses on the ice!?!? I thought they sold toy ones that people throw on the ice..... ?
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 11:06 PM) Pretty sure it was glove side. Looked glove side to me, and off the post. EDIT: I meant it looked STICK side to me.
  7. Sox players all at the game tonight. I saw Beckham (who was being interviewed), Lucy, Peavy, and Danks.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) it's kind of ridiculous to blame the game on niemi when we only scored one goal with our offense. that's the bigger problem. Yeah, Niemi is the last person I blame. I mean, if this was Huet in net, 4-1 would be a likely score, and none of those would have been empty net goals.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) It was a 2-1 game. Yes, I understand there were 2 empty netters, but they were not just empty netters that were given, the Hawks still had to once again lose control of the puck and not stop the Preds from scoring. The defense played awful in the 3rd last night.
  10. God damnit I am pissed. 4-1 to the f***ing Preds is disgraceful, especially at home.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) 3-run homer for Shelby. Wow, 4-5 with a HR and 3 doubles now?
  12. I use Zazzle for making softball team jerseys, but they are not button up jerseys, just like jersey t-shirts.
  13. Shirek pitching well, and Shelby is 3-4 with 3 doubles.
  14. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) All good things come to an end. Well, Buehrle can't win EVERY time. But this team is worrying me. Yeah, I give up on gamethreads for a while. 2-2 is not going to cut it.
  15. Who wants to bet money that the Hawks will have more goals scored this season than the sox will have runs scored 82 games into the season? Hawks scored 271 goals this season, or 3.30 goals per game. Think this offense can top that? I think they will, but it may be pretty close....we have scored 47 runs in 11 games, which comes out to 4.27 runs per game. Add in a bunch of shutouts, and we may barely outscore a hockey team.......
  16. 3.23 pitches per batter by Talbot. Sweet jesus offense, TAKE A MOTHER f***ING PITCH YOU s***TY f***ING ASSHOLES.
  17. Talbot has thrown an average of 3.18 pitches to each batter. Good patience offense.
  18. QUOTE (nathanbusch @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) Thats because his math is off, its 46 runs according to his total, and 26 from the homerun, which equals 56.5 percent Good call.
  19. QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) Thanks. Thought it would be a bit higher, actually. It just seems like we only score via the home run. Yeah, I would have guessed somewhere around 60-65%.
  20. QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Anybody know what percentage of our runs have been scored off of home runs? Doing it manually.... Opening day - 6 runs - 3 from HR 4/7 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/8 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/9 - 3 runs - 0 from HR 4/10 - 1 run - 0 from HR 4/11 - 5 runs - 4 from HR 4/12 - 8 runs - 4 from HR 4/13 - 2 runs - 2 from HR 4/14 - 11 runs - 5 from HR 4/15 - 3 runs - 3 from HR 4/16 - 1 run - 1 from HR Total - 46 runs - 26 from HR = 56.5% of our runs are from HR.
  21. Well....at least Beckham made it a 6-pitch out. 40 pitches through 4 innings for Talbot, this is just awful.
  22. buehrle needs a nice 8 pitch inning to match Talbot. That's sad that our offense has 3 hits and 1 run, and yet Talbot still only has only thrown 30 pitches in 3 innings. Patience much?
  23. I think I am going to head over to the gym so I can watch the game.....
