QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) Pods is on fire. Seven stolen bases, playing great baseball. But ooh he's a bad baserunner. He got picked off a lot last year. That of course did not cost us the pennant. We could use's Pods' multi-hit potential right now. The guy has some pop in his bat. Juan does not. Watch how shallow outfielders play Juan. It is almost embarrassing. Yeah, at least Pods could hit it deep enough and hit out enough HR to makes the outfielders respect him.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 11:55 PM) An Octopus was thrown onto the ice in the Detroit game.. That usually is great news for Detroit over the years. Problem is... the Octopus wound up having its legs crack when it was thrown. (I think it was its legs, or head, don't think thats ever happened before, but I'm not sure) Boom.. Detroit loses. What?!!? They actually throw real octopuses on the ice!?!? I thought they sold toy ones that people throw on the ice..... ? -

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) it's kind of ridiculous to blame the game on niemi when we only scored one goal with our offense. that's the bigger problem. Yeah, Niemi is the last person I blame. I mean, if this was Huet in net, 4-1 would be a likely score, and none of those would have been empty net goals. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 11:30 PM) It was a 2-1 game. Yes, I understand there were 2 empty netters, but they were not just empty netters that were given, the Hawks still had to once again lose control of the puck and not stop the Preds from scoring. The defense played awful in the 3rd last night. -

God damnit I am pissed. 4-1 to the f***ing Preds is disgraceful, especially at home. -
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) 3-run homer for Shelby. Wow, 4-5 with a HR and 3 doubles now?
-
I use Zazzle for making softball team jerseys, but they are not button up jerseys, just like jersey t-shirts.
-
Shirek pitching well, and Shelby is 3-4 with 3 doubles.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) All good things come to an end. Well, Buehrle can't win EVERY time. But this team is worrying me. Yeah, I give up on gamethreads for a while. 2-2 is not going to cut it. -

Who wants to bet money that the Hawks will have more goals scored this season than the sox will have runs scored 82 games into the season? Hawks scored 271 goals this season, or 3.30 goals per game. Think this offense can top that? I think they will, but it may be pretty close....we have scored 47 runs in 11 games, which comes out to 4.27 runs per game. Add in a bunch of shutouts, and we may barely outscore a hockey team....... -

QUOTE (nathanbusch @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) Thats because his math is off, its 46 runs according to his total, and 26 from the homerun, which equals 56.5 percent Good call. -

QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) Thanks. Thought it would be a bit higher, actually. It just seems like we only score via the home run. Yeah, I would have guessed somewhere around 60-65%. -

QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Anybody know what percentage of our runs have been scored off of home runs? Doing it manually.... Opening day - 6 runs - 3 from HR 4/7 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/8 - 3 runs - 2 from HR 4/9 - 3 runs - 0 from HR 4/10 - 1 run - 0 from HR 4/11 - 5 runs - 4 from HR 4/12 - 8 runs - 4 from HR 4/13 - 2 runs - 2 from HR 4/14 - 11 runs - 5 from HR 4/15 - 3 runs - 3 from HR 4/16 - 1 run - 1 from HR Total - 46 runs - 26 from HR = 56.5% of our runs are from HR. -

Well....at least Beckham made it a 6-pitch out. 40 pitches through 4 innings for Talbot, this is just awful. -

buehrle needs a nice 8 pitch inning to match Talbot. That's sad that our offense has 3 hits and 1 run, and yet Talbot still only has only thrown 30 pitches in 3 innings. Patience much? -
