  1. Green Bay scored their first touchdown with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Down 13-7. Love looks awful.
  2. That's why I said, "assuming he is healthy"
  3. Rodon had 132 IP last year. Assuming he is healthy, 170+ isn't out of the question. Just need to regulate his workload and keep him healthy.
  4. This is a good answer - it's long, but there's a lot of value in here. The point is that just shifting doesn't help you if it doesn't turn into extra outs.
  5. If he can even be in the same neighborhood as Jimmy that pick will be an absolute steal.
  6. I think for the first time this offseason the White Sox are going to act like a team that has a seat at the table with the big market teams.
  7. What I want the Sox to do: See what Harper will cost for RF. Pipe dream is Kimbrel and not Vaughn can be part of the package. Sign Conforto if Harper doesn't work out, and Kimbrel can't be included in a package for another impact RF Sign Semien Resign Tepera Sign Robbie Ray Stretch out Kopech and Crochet for long relief/spot starts Sign someone like Archie Bradley or Colome for additional bullpen help Sign a backup catcher - Yan Gomes? Roberto Perez? What I think they'll do: Platoon Sheets and Engel in RF until they think Cespedes is ready Leury/Romy at 2B, maybe a Cesar Hernandez tier signing Kopech to SP with ReyLo to back him up Qualifying offer to Rodon Resign Tepera Trade Kimbrel for some bullpen flyers Collins is backup C
  8. This looks like the Houston we saw. Fried is making some bad pitches and he's paying for all of them.
  9. Some bad infield defense there by Atlanta. Guess Ron Washington needs to teach them better.
  10. https://southsideshowdown.com/2021/10/27/chicago-white-sox-jorge-soler-make-great-addition/ I wouldn't mind Soler, assuming they spend more elsewhere.
  11. 4/32 sounds wonderful, especially considering the free agent outfielder market has the same questions per FA as we'd have with Suzuki.
  12. Cheap second base option, assuming they go after Conforto or Marte.
  13. Profar no way, but I might take a flyer on Ha-Seong Kim if they're throwing in a solid prospect. 2.1 bWAR last year, driven by excellent defense. He'll be 26 next year so there might be room for offensive growth. It's not the most appealing option but I don't think they're going to get much for Kimbrel after his second half, and Kim has some upside hopefully.
  14. I do wonder if they want to get out of that deal after missing the postseason for the last three years and finishing right around .500. They're a stars and scrubs team like the Sox were pre-2016, with a $180m payroll. Braves are likely legit for a few years at least, and one wild card is going to be locked up by a 100 win team apparently. It's not gonna happen (full no trade clause too), but man would Harper be a perfect fit. He had to tell the Sox he was flat out not interested in coming here, otherwise I can't understand why he wasn't top priority over Machado.
  15. Seems like they could switch to Treinen. He's been a successful closer before and is signed through 2023
  16. I don't think the Dodgers trade Lux, unless they want to sell high on him due to his postseason success. I also don't know if Kimbrel/Thompson gets it done, unless they know they can "fix" Kimbrel and want him to close over Kenley.
  17. Seems like a lot of people are down on Cespedes. Hope he can show something next year.
  18. Yeah, the pitchers kept falling behind in counts and walking people.
  19. And now the Astros can't throw out Hunter freakin' Renfroe trying to steal. Team is collapsing.
  20. Sale out after 2 2/3. 2 on 2 out.
  21. There have been like 3 or 4 hits against a big shift already tonight.
  22. Yeah I jinxed 'em I think. Still think the Astros are gonna score a lot in this game. Sale won't be in there much longer.
  23. So far Astros doing the exact same thing they did to the Sox.
  24. This is the most I will root for Chris Sale since leaving the Sox.
  25. Wonder if part of McCullers injury is pitching on short rest (not that short, but still). They likely would've won that game anyway with a different starter given how it turned out.
