  1. Yeah, there's a bunch of garbage on this team. What they get back in trades doesn't matter. It would be like the trade deadline in 2002 when they traded four or five players for minor league garbage. Just get these guys out and clear payroll room for next year.
  2. I'm not too hard on Teahen, because I don't expect a lot from the guy. But why the hell did Kenny give this guy a 3-year contract? Kenny is always preaching Chicago Tough, and they could have had a free year to evaluate him, and decide if he was worthy of keeping around in 2011. That's a bad move, pure and simple.
  3. I think Don Cooper would be an awful manager. You have to be somewhat good with the media, and I think he would be very combative with them. He's should stay as pitching coach-that's what he's good at. As far as Ozzie, I don't know how he gets fired with 2+ years left on his contract. If anything changes, i think it will be Kenny quitting after this season, and then maybe Ozzie has the short leash next season with Rick Hahn as GM.
  4. Arod grand slam. Twins down 7-4 in the 7th.
  5. Don't worry. Rios is going to hit a 3-run homer next inning.
  6. According to gameday, Pierre got credit for a sacrifice. Is that possible when there was already one out? Was he bunting for a hit?
  7. ABC cancelled Flashforward, Better Off Ted, and Scrubs...and that Alyssa Milano show.

Doyle mowing them down at Kannapolis again. He may be in line for a promotion.

Huddy done after 6 shutout innings. 88 pitches. I guess it depends how the Sox do the next few weeks, but if the season is over, there's no reason to keep Freddy, and there is every reason to bring Hudson up by the break.

Short 2-3, .409. He has 65 hits in 34 games.
  11. They're real. She was born Katy Hudson...here she is at 16. Huge rack. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pLvWjountA
  12. It's Chris Getz's fault.

Unless Quentin turns it around in a big way, I don't want him in the Sox plans for 2011. He's a one-year wonder.
  17. Large win. A win tomorrow may light the spark they need, and it wouldn't hurt if the Twins got cold for a couple weeks.
  18. Stanton was 3-4 for Jax. I'm glad the Sox are facing the Marlins next weekend, and not in June. He may be up by then.
  19. That's got to be Marquez's best game in the Sox org. Good for him. This Brandon Short, wow. 4-5. Hitting .393.
  20. Span CF, Hudson 2B, Mauer C, Morneau 1B, Cuddyer RF, Kubel DH, Young LF, Harris SS, Punto 3B Hardy put on the DL.
  21. Ok, fair enough. Let's give them more time. To me, the math has already caught up to them. We'll see if they can get hot, or if the Twins and Tigers turn into bad teams.
  22. I guess we have different opinions of this team. I don't think they lose games because they're unlucky; they lose because they're bad. The bullpen has moments of brilliance, but they've also had moments of being horrible--including Thornton, who is probably the best lefty reliever in baseball. They don't hit in the clutch. Their OBP is awful. The defense has been bad. Winning teams win, and losing teams lose. That's how it goes. If they want to start winning now, and in bulk, great. I won't be holding my breath. And I'm sorry, 13-19 is a TON worse than 16-16 at this point in the season. That's why those tough losses are tough...because they stay in the standings all year long. They don't leave the loss column.
  23. Shack-- There's a huge difference between 13-19 and 16-16. I hate to break that to you, but there is. Just do this...assume the Sox are out of it until they get to .500. When they get there, then see how many games out they are, and go from there. Until they get to .500, there's no point in being Mr. Positive.
