MLB dropped Cliff Lee's suspension. I guess he convinced them his injury caused his wildness. Not sure if he's ready to come back this weekend against the White Sox.

It's hard to feel optimistic, no question. I'm in 'hoping for the best, expecting the worst' mode. If this team isn't meant to be good, so be it. Maybe it'll force some drastic things to happen, which are probably long overdue.

Well, we're missing Felix Hernandez and Cliff Lee is still on the DL. I guess that's a positive.

It's not about standings and how many games out they are. It's about a team that can't hit, a bullpen that can't finish a six-out save, and a manager that bats Kotsay 5th and 3rd in the lineup. These are legitimate concerns. And I'm sorry to rag on the bullpen, because the overall numbers are good, but they've had two games where they needed to finish it off, and they didn't. If they did, the Sox would be pretty close to .500. Plus the fact that they are 1-5 against the Indians. That's a bad sign.

This is when real teams fire their manager. When does the championship exemption run out? When Jerry dies?

So who wants to go out to Midway and welcome our boys home tonight? Great trip.

Just a hunch, but I think Joey Cora would suck as a manager. Personally, if Ozzie left, I hope they clean house sans Don Cooper.

I'm a Sox fan, and I'm half joking. Obviously, I would love it if they turned it around and got back to .500 in the next 10 days. But there is a part of me that just wants to see them get buried sooner than later just to see how bad it could get. I don't want the Sox to be caught in the mediocre middle where they get confused as to what direction to go. If it gets real bad, they'll be forced to blow it up, and maybe even change managers.

I hope the Sox go 3-17 the next 20. Let's see how bad this can get.

The lineup Hudson is facing isn't exactly the 1927 Yankees. More like the 2010 White Sox.

Hudson gave up a hit and two walks in the first inning, but no runs scored. He seems to have first inning issues, but then settles down. Double for Danks.

If the Sox fall out of this in the next few weeks, there won't be any point of having Freddy Garcia on the team. That may be the biggest factor of them all.
