  1. Great for Giolito! Keep it up!
  2. Danish is announced as the game 2 starter, Pelfrey game 1. I believe that means Danish is replacing Covey after he goes on the DL, and the 26th man is somebody else.
  3. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ May 25, 2017 -> 05:28 PM) Lopez last pitched 6 innings on the 21St so he shouldn't have been scheduled to pitch today, should be tomorrow on regular rest. Thanks for pointing that out. Originally on the milb scoreboard, it did have Lopez going today, but clearly that was incorrect.
  4. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 25, 2017 -> 05:27 PM) Holy s***, Delmonico with another HR! I hope he can play a position with passable defense because his bat is going to play in the big leagues.
  5. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 25, 2017 -> 11:36 AM) Is he getting called up for the double-header tomorrow? That's what I'm thinking. If he was starting today, I would think he'd be listed.
  6. Lopez was scheduled to start today, before the rainout. Game 2 has tbd.
  7. Cooooop.
  8. 3-7 road trip. Perfect. 3-6 the next nine will get them close to the bottom of the league at the 1/3 mark.
  9. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 23, 2017 -> 09:02 PM) I cannot wait for Covey to be gone. DFA him and bring up someone from AAA. He's not only an automatic loss, but an automatic embarrassment to the team. My biggest problem with the situation is the whole Rule 5 thing. It's not 1962 anymore. It's outdated. Either you belong in the big leagues or you don't. When it's clear you don't belong, it's time to try somebody else. A backup catcher is one thing, but a starting pitcher that can't compete is another.
  10. Good shows. Just reinforced how much they need Collins to pan out the next couple years. Liked Kopech too. He's going to screw up once in a while, but he wants to be great.
  11. I'm a Remillard fan. Liked what I saw in the College Series. Maybe a bump up the ladder after the draft?
  12. Dbacks one if the few NL teams doing well in interleague play at 4-1.
  13. I'm full on Americanizing his name- Lou Roberts.
  14. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 21, 2017 -> 09:18 PM) Crazy. Think we got this? Nah. I'm sure after 81, the Indians will have the lead, and Twins and Tigers will be a few games behind. Royals and Sox getting ready to trade.
  15. After first 40 games: Min 22-18 Cle 21-19 Det 20-20 Sox 18-22 KC 17-23
  16. Just noticed Taijuan Walker went on the DL. He was going to start Wednesday afternoon.
  17. Needless to say, the Sox caught the Mariners at the right time.
  18. If Sale and Eaton stayed and the Sox stayed in go-for-it mode, Avisail would probably be in a different uniform right now.

If the service time issues are out of the way, my hope is he starts Friday and then replaces Covey.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 21, 2017 -> 12:34 PM) What do you think of the picks of Fulmer and Rodon and Beckham? Isn't this the same regime? You loss lovers slay me. To be a fan and want your team to lose is so bizarre. What do non statniks in your life think of this silliness? The Sox are in rebuild mode. Picks aren't guarantees, but sometimes the difference in the 6th pick and 7th pick is huge. Enjoy the games any way you want. I'm enjoying both- when Avi has a big game or Davidson hits a homer, great. When they lose, good...that's what this year is about.

6 up, 6 down for Lopez. Danish currently scheduled to start Thursday, so yes, that could change.
  22. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ May 21, 2017 -> 11:35 AM) on paper, with all their injuries, the Sox lineup and SP today will be >>> than the Mariners. I hate to say it, but with Avi, Sanchez, the other Garcias and Jose hitting like this, this Sox team isn't bad, they are mediocre to average. I don't see more than 80 wins but this also looks far from a 100 loss club. My hope is they play every 54 games at 23-31, which means 4-9 the next 13. Bottom line, they need to have the worst AL record with a losing interleague record. If they do that, they would max out on their draft position.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ May 21, 2017 -> 10:58 AM) Don't think we'll see Robert with an affiliate for a few more weeks/months, but I do see him moving quickly Reasonable ETA on the South Side is Opening Day 2019 He turns 20 in August, so he's in his Age 19 season. It would be great if he's that good of a player, but one step at a time. If he ends 2018 in Birmingham, I'll take that as a positive. ROY 2020
  24. I'll take a Holland quality start in a 4-3 loss. Yesterday was fun, but back to the tank, please.
