Hoping for another dominant start from Hansen followed by a call-up to WS. Hansen has really improved his control so far this season.

Collins 1-1 2B R

Kanny delayed

I'm a Remillard fan. Liked what I saw in the College Series. Maybe a bump up the ladder after the draft?

A bunch of those Kannapolis hitters should be in high A.

I think a couple of them will be promoted when the second half of the minor league season starts or after the draft when guys usually move around.

That's my guess.

Hansen starting to rack up the strikeouts now.

Basabe really struggling right now.

3 for last 38 for Basabe

Hansen.

How many K's during that stretch?

Good K numbers, but a fairly pedestrian outing otherwise.

13 or so

Arrow pointing up

Luis Robert, Moncada, Kopech, Lopez, Hansen, Burdi, Micker Adolfo, Dunning (for now, although that could change)

Hold/maintain

Collins, Fulmer, Adams, Fisher

Reasons for concern/incomplete

Giolito, Basabe, Jordan Stephens, Trey M., Call, Peter

He was 4 for his last 38. Now 4 for his last 42. (14 K's) Gotta remember he's a year and a half younger than Collins. He can start at W-S next year and still be a good prospect.

Basabe usually adjusts in the second half though. Last year in low A he hit .222/.293/.397 (29.9% K rate) in the first half. Second half he hit .292/.355/.493.

Good post, not too worried about him yet. All along, willie has been saying he's great on defense but has a ton to learn offensively

Once Basabe figures it out at the plate, it will then be his turn.

Add Lassiter and Morrison to your up list.

What's the story with Morrison?

He's a reliever from Coastal Carolina, like 27th round...how is he striking out everyone?

Ehren Wasserman-esque trickery?

I always worry about guys that have a hard time with the Mendoza line. There aren't a lot of really good players that overcame that in the lower levels. There are a few. But it's early, guys slump, and when you are in your slump this early, you numbers look bad, but if he hits .220 or something with a s*** load of strikeouts when the season is done, I'll never count on him to be anything but maybe a 4th or 5th outfielder at best considering the rebuild is supposed to lead to a pretty stacked team for a long time.

Did you read our detailed look at him, within?

We wrote him up in detail too, right here.

The question is always how was his stuff and mechanics late in the game?
