I’d just like to say this season isn’t Grifol’s fault. That isn’t to say he’s made some mistakes…he has. But he didn’t have a lot of his roster in spring training because of the WBC, which didn’t help him in Year 1. And the weak roster the stupid front office gave him, has put him in an impossible situation to succeed. He did a lot good things in his baseball career to get this job, and deserves better. Maybe he will prove to be a bad manager, but I think it’s far too early to declare his hiring a failure.
  2. Clevinger vs Berrios sorry, I just wanted to start it the night we go 10 under .500…in April
  3. RIP Harry Belafonte, 96
  4. 8-24 after 32 seems a total possibility with this group
  5. Abreu sucks. At least we can’t point to him sitting on 6 homers and doubles. He’s at 101 plate appearances- 4 walks, no homers.
  6. Sosa- not a big leaguer
  7. Joe Espada interviewed and said “nah, I’m good”.
  8. Dollar for Dollar, the Sox are the worst
  9. Everything Must Go.
  10. Absolutely not
  11. Of course not getting that pitch will cost us
  12. Blue Jays at home this week vs Sox and Mariners. They’d take 4-2…and they probably will. LWL series for the Sox
  13. The correct and final answer is 3
  14. The current AL East and Central are a pretty good example of why 4-team divisions would be stupid. You’d be signing up for under .500 team making the playoffs. When they go to 32, it’s so obvious the better option would be 4 division winners and the rest are wildcard teams.
  15. He also added a C to his last name. Nah, I’m kidding. Still Hendriks.
  16. While there is plenty of time, all of the Sox factors and trends of the last few years are still there. I like to break down seasons into thirds and I wouldn’t be surprised if at 54 games it’s Min 31-23, Cle 29-25, and Sox 23-31. 8 and 6 games behind with 108 games left also isn’t a death sentence, but just being 8 games under and looking like s%*# would probably be enough to get the sell off trade discussions going. I hope they prove me wrong over the next 20 games or so.
  17. 152 PAs without a homer
  18. After the next Twins series Min 19-13 - Sox 11-21 8
  19. There’s just no other organization that would have stuck with a GM with these results this long. I bought into the rebuild. I felt bad for him about the La Russa hiring. But there’s just no more denying what should happen now. Hahn has to go.
  20. Robert, as talented as he is, has so many uncompetitive at bats. It’s very annoying.
  21. That really was bad umpiring on the pitch clock.
  22. Is Sosa looking as outmatched as he looked last year?
  23. A win today and going 8-5 vs the Rays, Jays, and Twins would do a lot for our fandom. Let’s do that.
