  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 09:12 PM) With tonight's win, the Sox now have 9,000 all-time wins. 9000-8839 Average 162 games: 81.73-80.27 Congratulations on being a slightly over .500 franchise for 115 years.
  2. I miss ducksnort. Retire Hawk.
  3. Johnson doesn't give up cheapies.
  4. 13th pick, here we come! Maybe they can get another Hawkins. *can get

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 03:39 PM) Is anyone going to watch The Blindspot on NBC tonight? This reminded me of the Emmy opening last night. Very funny, and can relate to it...
  6. Barnum dropped. Michalczewski and May added. Not sure who else was dropped.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 02:37 PM) The only pretenders are the people thinking Trace Thompson's performance the final 2 weeks of the season pulls any weight for 2016. Um, ok?
  8. Good for Jeff, but let's not pretend it wasn't a September makeup game played by two teams playing out the last two weeks of a bad season. 13 left. 5-8 with four losses to the Tigers, please.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 12:57 PM) Samardjiza pitching well accomplishes one big thing, it makes it a better option for the White Sox to offer him a QO, and it lessens the odds that he will take it and be signed somewhere else as a FA. The top 10 pick thing only matters if we want to sign a top flight free agent, and I don't even see that as realistic anyway. No matter how he pitches the last three starts, the Sox are offering it, and Samardzija is declining it. As far as the protected pick, I'm not that into getting it or not getting it. I just want a higher pick for more options for the Sox. 8th at best, 15th at worst. I'd rather have 8th.
  10. Watch Samardzija win his last three starts and cost the Sox a top 10 pick. There would be some irony in that.
  11. I'm not saying Trayce Thompson will end up better in the long run...but for 2016, I'd rather see him get 550 at-bats than Avisail Garcia. Just not a fan.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 11:04 AM) Only playing one game in a WC series is bulls***. How they decide who plays in that game is bulls***. Divisional play and the unbalanced schedule are a pox on the game.
  13. Lineups https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/645975387516727296 Just lose, baby!
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 21, 2015 -> 10:07 AM) Eric Longenhagen ‏@longenhagen 1h1 hour ago MLB Draft Order if season ended today 1. PHI 2. ATL 3. MIL 4. COL 5. CIN 6. OAK 7. MIA 8. DET 9. CHW 10. SD Picks 3-7 separated by 1 game This is wrong. My post is correct, so....
  15. It looks like a 4-horse race for the second wildcard: Astros 79-71 --- Angels 76-73 2.5 Twins 76-73 2.5 Indians 74-74 4.0 What they have left: Astros (3 vs Angels, 3 vs Rangers, 3 at Mariners, 3 at D-backs) Angels (3 at Astros, 3 vs Mariners, 3 vs A's, 4 at Rangers) Twins (3 vs Indians, 3 at Tigers, 4 at Indians, 3 vs Royals) Indians (3 at Twins, 3 at Royals, 4 vs Twins, 3 vs Red Sox, 1 vs Tigers if nec) I hope the Astros, Angels, and Twins end up 85-77. Give me some chaos.
  16. Draft Order with 2 weeks left: 1. Phillies 56-94 2. Braves 60-90 3. Rockies 63-86 4. Brewers 63-86 5. Reds 63-85 6. Marlins 64-86 7. A's 64-86 Standings for the 8th pick: 8. Tigers 69-79 --- 9. Padres 70-80 --- 10. White Sox 70-78 1.0 11. Diamondbacks 71-78 1.5 12. Red Sox 71-77 2.0 13. Rays 72-77 2.5 14. Mariners 73-77 3.0 15. Orioles 73-76 3.5 Tigers will play 161 games unless the Indians need to play on October 5th.
  17. Well, there's a loss. Hopefully they won't face the Cardinals again.
  18. Cubs are on fire. The Wildcard Game is going to crush somebody.
  19. Actually won a season series vs a division team. 10-9
  20. Red Sox win, White Sox lose. Sox with the 10th spot with two weeks left. 7 head-to-head with the Tigers. Lose two tomorrow.
  21. Buehrle will need 14.2 innings his last two starts for 200. Not likely.
  22. Update- Wednesday is TBA for Sox. Hayes speculates that if they don't have to use Montas before Tuesday, he'll start Wednesday, and Sale will start Thursday in New York.
  23. Still 11th. Same record as Red Sox. Battle for last this week in Detroit: Mon, 12:08--Samardzija vs Ryan Mon, 6:08--Johnson vs Wolf Tue, 6:08--Quintana vs Norris Wed, 12:08--Sale vs Verlander
  24. Danks vs Tomlin https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/645606919437090816
