Yes, Abreu and Eaton are building blocks. Hopefully Eaton plays better out of the gate next year, and finds a way to become a better base stealer. And of course, if they want to move him to LF if a better option exists, then do that too.

And just to add another angle besides conditioning, the Yankees are playing for something. There does need to be a certain level of integrity of the teams that are out of it. I'm not a fan of the September 40-man rules and shutting guys down, especially now that 5 of 15 teams make the postseason. There are so many more meaningful late season games than there used to be. Unless there's an injury going on, teams should be trying.
