  2. Whoa. A's fans might be remembering the name Tyler Flowers years from now.
  3. Three losses and a Sale no-hitter on Thursday would be ok.
  4. I'm glad Wilkins got the opportunity. But, no. No No. No. God no.
  5. QUOTE (shysocks @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) I'll be there tonight and will be giving Dunn the reception most opponents get - nothing. Maybe a couple claps. His performance doesn't merit cheering, and his off-field demeanor doesn't merit booing. Unfortunately I'm sure a lot of people will disagree. I'm in your camp. No response (if I was there).
  6. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/5090737...6137985/photo/1 Dunn will have all three outcomes.

  8. Way to spread series out--this can be a good thing or a really bad thing. Red Sox first game July 27 last game August 26 Astros first game May 29 last game June 10 Angels first game August 10 last game August 20 Mariners first game August 21 last game August 30 Rangers first game June 2 last game June 21
  9. QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) Looks like less off days Nope. Still 20.

  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 12:02 PM) Anything? MLB didn't announce when they were going to do this. A couple teams or writers for teams released what they know, so maybe not officially today. We'll see.
  12. Sox in Milwaukee May 11-13. Monday-Wednesday.
  13. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 7, 2014 -> 08:28 PM) I thought they got rid of 3 home and 3 away and do 2/2s or just a 3. I guess if your forced rival is in the division you are playing, you do 2 series. Yeah, when it's East vs East, Central vs Central, West vs West, they play 3 home and away against the "rival". So it will still be 20 interleague games. Might look like this: Cubs 3-3 Cardinals 2-2 Brewers 2-2 Pirates 3 away Reds 3 home One of the 2-2's will be played like a four game series.
  14. According to a Pirates beat writer, the MLB schedule is coming out tomorrow at noon. A couple leaks are out there. I know the Sox play 3 home/3 away against the Cubs, and 2 home/2 away vs the Cardinals. Opening Day is April 6, so that probably means November World Series games.
  15. Looks like the Sox, Cubs, Red Sox, Astros, and Twins are in a cluster for the 5-9 picks. Through 141: 5. Twins 61-80 6. Astros 62-79 7. Red Sox 62-79 8. White Sox 63-78 9. Cubs 64-77 Hopefully the Sox win fewer than 10 games in the final 21. 7-14 would probably get them 5th or 6th.
  16. Sox need to be 2 games worse than the Twins and Red Sox, 3 games worse than the Astros the final 22 games to have a higher pick. Could be a good night for the Sox. Red Sox just won.
  17. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:16 PM) MLB game day says Yan Gomes tripled on pop up to shortstop Leury Garcia to start the inning? What the heck happened? It was a ball off the wall in LF that bounced back to Leury. I saw that too.
  18. Good time for RBI 100. (or not)
  19. If they're still playing when the rain starts, they might as well suspend it immediately. A lot of rain coming.
  20. So Konerko is also down to four home games since he's out for at least 7-10 days.
  21. Carroll starting Sunday. Bassitt possibly next Wednesday.
