  1. It just had to come out on the day he pitches against a team he struggles with.
  2. They tweeted this first: https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/470912279962480640 Context. They did nothing wrong at all.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:05 PM) Hopefully he will be a little rusty thru Wednesday. I think they said he may not play until Wednesday. He went 0-4 vs Charlie Leesman and Co. tonight.
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 26, 2014 -> 09:46 PM) What happened? Sorry, twitter/youtube/fb are blocked in China. OK, maybe it doesn't "mean" that, but considering all that the Sox do in the community and for the armed forces, maybe people can take that into consideration and just let it go. People love to be offended.
  5. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/470957604802277376 The Sox actually apologized over this. People need to lighten the f*** up.
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 26, 2014 -> 07:30 PM) I'm a JorDanks fan, but let me remind you how badly he performed in his Major League time this year. He's hitting .167 at Charlotte. As much as I think Danks will be a good 4th outfielder in the future, I think it's better to stand pat with De Aza for another month. If he's still hitting around .200 on July 1st, then maybe bounce him. But Sierra should take more ABs from him.
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 26, 2014 -> 07:16 PM) I love Conor.. I don't care if he never hits a home run again They did a stat on the pre-game today. The Sox have 2 HR from the 3B position, and both are from Semien. But there are a lot of teams in the same boat as the Sox with 2 or 3 homers at 3B. Gee, wonder why?
  8. Hawkins 2-5 Anderson 3-5
  9. Good thing this was a day game. It gone rain.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 26, 2014 -> 04:33 PM) Games are too damn long. Agreed!
  11. Ok, I think they may be able to hang on to this one....I think.
  12. So sick of the 3-ball counts. All the time.
  13. Statistically, Raburn must outperform his career stats against the Sox more than any player ever in the history of baseball.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 26, 2014 -> 04:09 PM) You know you want to see Belly in the 9th. With a 1-run lead.
  15. .352 If his brother can hit like this, somebody is going to get a good hitter in 10 days.
  16. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 26, 2014 -> 02:35 PM) At best Quintana will go 6. Ugh. Maybe "Juan" Quintana can finish the game.
  17. https://twitter.com/DanHayesCSN/status/470961336995024897 Per Lino Diaz, Jose Abreu felt great after he took grounders, threw and hit today. Will update us later in week.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:52 AM) We say that every season, but then someone like Cleveland reels off an unbelievable stretch at the end of the year. That could happen, but just looking at the injuries and the parity around the league, this season really looks like that second wild card number will be low. If the Astros are the only terrible team in the league, that gives the Angels or A's an advantage to win the 1st wild card spot. After that, there will be 9-11 teams beating each other up. That's why the 20 interleague games are so important. If an AL team goes 7-13 in interleague, it can blow a season.
  19. https://twitter.com/DanHayesCSN/status/470949202034307073 Out of his boot, Jose Abreu will do some light work in the batting cage today.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 26, 2014 -> 10:06 AM) Glad you finally came to that realization. I've always known that, but teams have to get their wins from teams they're supposed to. It's a rarity to get to the final 30 games of the season and go 21-9 to get in. Basically I look at the season in six 27-game sections. Go 15-12 every 27, you win 90. Anything under, you've got a deficit you have to make up. It just happens this season is looking like 86-88 wins will get a wildcard.
  21. Eaton 8, Semien 4, Gillaspie 5, Viciedo DH, Dunn 3, Ramirez 6, De Aza 7, Flowers 2, Sierra 9 https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/4709413...0449792/photo/1
  22. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 26, 2014 -> 09:21 AM) Let's start another winning streak, only 6 games back in division and 2.5 back in wildcard. Sox aren't winning 95 games, and the Tigers will. Every other team is chasing 88 wins, and it possibly will go lower than that. For now, 88-74 gets an extra game. Games back and all of that...irrelevant until there's 10 games left in the season. Record with or without homeruns stat for the Sox: No homers: 5-18 Exactly 1 hr: 7-6 2 or more hr: 13-3 Same as it ever was.
  23. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 25, 2014 -> 04:35 PM) Yesterday's game is going to cause a bad stretch of games coming up.. I'd just like to see them win the next two. Get to 27-27 at the 1/3 mark.
  24. Sanchez at .287--he turns 22 in a month. Big Leaguer.
