  4. 2 out of 3 this weekend followed by a 5-5 road trip and 6-4 homestand would be a good April. Need to play better defense and manufacture runs when given the opportunities.
  5. "Tip your Cap" Alert. Robin just said it twice about Guthrie. I hate that.
  6. If De Aza hits a bomb here, a lot of you...
  7. Stone hasn't got the memo about Gillaspie. It's pronounced Gillespie.
  8. Royals are in that category that if you don't have a lead after 7 innings, it probably isn't your day.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 03:05 PM) Seems like Sox have had a lot of success against Felix of late. It's just one game, wouldn't be a bad idea to get some benchers some ABs. All four of them would be ok with me, especially because the Sox will be 4-0 and have Sale on the mound on Sunday. Yep.
  10. Quality start for Floyd. Can't blame him.
  11. Guthrie faced the Sox late in spring training too. Cooper may want to make note of that.
  12. Roger Ebert was a good person. Very sad to hear.
  13. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 02:46 PM) Fielder struck out and Martinez popped to second with the bases loaded. Nice bullpen work there.
  14. Alright, let's chip away and hold them.
  15. Good thing the Sox teams start on the road. The Carolinas are under water.
  16. Oh, ok. Sorry. I was wondering why Sanchez was batting 8th. Nevermind. Still, it would be nice to get this on one page.

  18. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 4, 2013 -> 12:20 PM) So.. are they going to play that awful video again? It may only be 90 minutes before the game now. Not in the normal spot pre-game.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 09:34 PM) It is pretty strange that you are saying to root for a division rival to beat a team from another division in order to preserve a possible wild card berth, in the second game of the season, and using this as your possible scenario. What I'm saying is, yes, we could root for a specific team right now, and yeah great, a team that we're forced to play 19 times lost. However, come September 28, we possibly should have hoped that the team from our division won that close game back in April. Kinda what I'm saying is it's dumb to scoreboard watch with too much energy and hope this early in the season, unless you know a team from your division is really good. So Tigers losing to the Twins--good. Indians beating the Blue Jays? Might be a good thing in the long run.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 09:19 PM) If we beat our division rivals, we don't have to worry about the wild card. Sox vs Det 10-9 Cle 10-9 Min 10-9 KC 10-9 Det vs Sox 9-10 Cle 11-8 KC 10-9 Min 13-6 How much do we have to beat them by?
  21. Orioles/Rays play a wild one. Matt Joyce with a walkoff homer.
  22. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 3, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Not in game TWO Now it's just fun to see your division rival fall apart... I guess. I'm not big on the word "rival" when it comes to baseball. Too many games against each other. Win some/lose some. It was nice to see the Tigers blow it though. I will say that.
  23. This is where you have to be careful what you're rooting for. Sox may be in competition for a wildcard with the Blue Jays at the end of the season. That's why I'm just rooting for the Sox to get the 89th win, and see where we are.
