  1. If it starts raining at 5pm and it looks like a 3 hour rain delay (which means a 10p start), I wonder if they'll just bang it and make the Tigers come back Monday. Before the game starts, it's in the Sox hands, right?
  2. Hawk will be happy to learn Ryan Rayburn is on the DL.
  3. 3 weeks left. 20 games. Go 12-8 and let the chips fall. The problem I see is that this team doesn't look good enough to go 12-8. I hope they get it going, even if it's after another loss tonight. But this thing is over in 3 weeks. Might as well try to enjoy baseball as long as possible.
  4. Robin must have planned a trip to Spain the first week in October. He doesn't want to manage past 10/3.
  5. Power hitter, please.
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Dunn would be the first guy I would try to trade. I wonder if the Astros may want to bring in a guy like Dunn for some entertainment value.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) As opposed to the Dodgers, Pirates, & Cardinals who are sucking that bad for that long in the second half??? Good point. The Pirates. The poor Pirates may end up under .500 for the 20th straight year.
  8. Phillies and Brewers, over-.500, and 3 games back. And both teams have to be thinking about the moves they made at the deadline. Would they be better with some of those guys, or are they better without them?
  9. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) Like I said before. You dont have a damn clue about whats going to happen. Get over it. Sox 8-13 Tigers 13-8 My crystal ball told me.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 09:43 PM) Thats really pathetic. Unless you have a crystal ball somewhere on you then you dont have the slightest clue of whats going to happen. This reminds me of Caesar's stupid comment about Detroit winning for sure against Cleveland. Look what happened there. Ok, cool dude. Sox are playing great baseball. They'll turn this thing around. And all of that s***.
  11. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) Call me tomorrow after you had a good cry. My goodness. Sounds like my friends teenage sister. Tigers tie it tomorrow, then 19 left: Tigers--Cle, Oak, Min, KC, Min, KC Sox--Min, KC, LAA, Cle, TB, Cle We're done.
  12. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) Pretty sure its not k. Call me when the Sox are going for a 3rd win in a row.
  13. And this season is ovah....
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 09:24 PM) Flavum, supposed to rain tomorrow? The hourly forecast looks pretty bad right now, including 7-10pm. Of course, it would just be Scherzer again probably, so we're screwed.
  15. Ok, here's the plan... We come back and win this thing. Tomorrow, it rains all day, and they call it around 4. Tigers come back on Monday and Verlander can't pitch.

This year, the Sox never had a stretch of playing 20 days in a row. Next year? 4 times they play 20 days in row. Can you say 6-man?

300 interleague games next year, up from 252. And they're really limiting it to one at a time the final 5 weeks. The final IL series of the season is Tigers at Marlins on Sep 27, 28, 29. Sox are done with interleague play on July 21.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 12, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) Then all of a sudden you have a hot playoff team with Halladay/Hamels/Lee leading off the rotation. Watch out now. I'm sorry, but a team that sucked that bad for that long in the first half shouldn't be in the playoffs. The NL is such a joke. This is the one year I really hope the Braves win that game to get the four best teams in the playoffs. Even the Pirates...it would be cool, but they suck.

Done with the Angels by May 19. Done with the Mariners by June 5. Done with the A's by June 9. Done with the Blue Jays by June 12. Done with the Rays by July 7. Plus 14 interleague games in the first half. All of this before the Sox play one game with the Tigers.

The Sox and Tigers don't face each other until the week before the AS Break. That makes sense. They play 19 games between July 9 and September 22. Yeesh.

    Breakdown: (Home-Away-Total) Cle 10-9-19 Det 10-9-19 KC 10-9-19 Min 9-10-19 Bal 3-4-7 Bos 3-3-6 NY 3-3-6 TB 4-3-7 Tor 3-4-7 Hou 3-4-7 LAA 3-4-7 Oak 4-3-7 Sea 3-3-6 Tex 3-3-6 Cubs 2-2-4 Atl 3-0-3 Mia 3-0-3 NYM 2-2-4 Phi 0-3-3 Was 0-3-3 2-game series: 5 (2 back-to-back with cubs) 3-game series: 36 4-game series: 11 (12 if you include the Cubs series) Weird there are uneven number of home/away games against division opponents.

^ That is a mistake. The final game of the season next year is Sunday, 9/29. I bet we get Detroit.
