  1. Good to see Chris Perez blow a 3-run save, and now they're in the 12th. Hopefully they have three of these games before the Sox show up Monday.
  2. Typical Buehrle game. It's actually ok rooting for him in a different uniform. We got the best out of him for over a decade. Let another team get his ultimate decline.
  3. The weird thing about this Red Sox/Tigers game is that we may want the Tigers to win this in the long run. That second wild card really makes scoreboard watching pointless until September. Well, more than it is already.
  4. Mets on the board. Finally.
  5. 37 half innings. No score.
  6. Bryce Harper doubles in his first AAA ab. What do you think? A month?
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) Would Zimmerman's fly out or Soriano's fly out have been gone if wind wasn't blowing in? That's what they were saying. Wind helped Strasburg too.
  8. Lester gets out of it. 31 half innings...
  9. 27 half innings, and counting... Tigers threatening.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) I waited 5 months for this?????? It says something about #1 starters. Nats have 1st and 2nd, no out. Would be funny if the first run was against the Cubs. Fitting. No Garza?
  11. 19 half innings today. No runs.
  12. 24 hours, De Aza is standing on second base.
  13. Why are we still talking about this guy? Move on.
  14. Pretty impressive they're getting to opening day without a major injury. Look around the league. Now shut this thread down, and let's get it going!
  15. Game over. Pop for everyone.
  16. Ok, give up a run, make three outs and get out of there.
  17. That would be sweet if Mitchell fixed something in his swing and now he's on the right path to the majors. That would be huge for the Sox. An outfield in a couple years with Mitchell and Thompson would be appealing. Keenyn Walker would be gravy if he turns out too.
  18. For the price and what he brings, that Fukudome signing was pretty solid.
  19. Think the players even give a crap today? Stay injury free and get on the plane.
  20. Interesting Gameday feature this year... There are "Scout notes": "Humber having trouble locating slider" "Happ getting a favorable strike zone"
  21. In front of a couple hundred fans, De Aza with a lead off double, Lillibridge walk. Dunn facing left Happ, strikes out swinging.
  22. QUOTE (MAX @ Apr 4, 2012 -> 11:29 AM) Grab some bench rios. Is this a sign of things to come? When he made that play coming in last night, he seemed to say "ow" after that. It may be nothing though.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 4, 2012 -> 09:21 AM) Is it just me, or is the minor league season starting earlier, relative to the major league season, than usual? I seem to recall last year it was like 1.5 weeks after major league Opening Day that the full season minor league squads started up. This year, they are starting at basically the same time. Yes, I noticed that yesterday when I looked at the Charlotte schedule. MLB should have started a week ago. It shouldn't coincide with the Masters.
