You know, for a mouthpiece like Merkin to say he thinks Jones and Stewart are making the team, maybe he knows how they're leaning. Bruney may have pitched his way off tonight. Just looked at Jones' numbers this spring. 9.2 innings. 15 Ks, 8 hits, 6 walks 1.86 ERA Before tonight, Bruney's numbers were stellar. We'll see what happens.

According to Merkin, Ventura may have the roster set on Sunday. Makes sense if they're traveling Monday night. His guess is Nathan Jones will beat out Brian Bruney, and Zach Stewart will beat out Dylan Axelrod for bullpen spots. Bruney is pitching tonight, so it could be huge for him.
