Even if he gives up hitting RH it doesn't guarentee that he will hit lefties better. Robbie Alomar tried hitting only from the left side back when he was with Toronto and it didn't help any. He said he didn't see the ball well from a lefty when he batted LH.
At this point any and all pitching depth is a good thing. It could blow up on us like like Rick White or we could strike gold like E-Lo, most likely it ends up somewhere in between.
Let me consult my magic 8 ball.

A. Try again later.
Well there you have it . All the answers we need for this off season.
I like scenario one plus signing Washburn or Garcia It works better now and for the future. Then if possible move Konerko and sign Palmeiro to add a power lefty to the line up, Thomas, Palmeiro and Lee would be a very good heart of the order.
I'm a big fan of Garland and I think he could be a solid #2 starter although more likely a #3 but until he finds some consistancy he should no higher than forth in our rotation.
KC has added a few veterans and should have Mike Sweeney for the whole year.
Min has a solid offensive nucleus and will have Stewart as their sparkplug all season.
We have the same old offence that did nothing last year.
