I'm flying with a 4 year old and 18 months old tomorrow. If they offer me money and free child care on the plane, I might happily surrender my seat.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 11, 2017 -> 11:35 AM) Thanks for sharing. I wonder if Forbes has updated their formula at all considering the Marlins may get 2 billion for that team. They never seem to take into account that there are so few sports teams ever available for sale, that they will always be sold for way over value.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 10, 2017 -> 08:34 PM) This is true for the casual fan but not for the season ticket holders. I would guess there will be a few more available but not a substantial amount. Of course, it could be just my section of season ticket holders. Aren't 60% or more of the season tickets PSLs? I assume that makes a lot more difficult to just give up your season tickets. You would want to sell the PSL for a good price, not just get up and walk away. Mine aren't PSL, but it would still take a lot more for me to give them up. I still find it entertaining and like the earlier poster said, you didn't want to miss out when they suddenly turn it around and have to go back on the waiting list. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 10, 2017 -> 01:05 PM) I continue to be amazed how little people care about the Bears this offseason. They haven't really done anything to make me care about it. I was excited about Mike Glennon for all 2.4 seconds, now it's back to whatever. -

2017 Masters/Golf Thread

Good for Sergio. So who is the new best player to never win a major? Westwood has the most starts without one, it seems like Fowler is way overdue too. -
QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Apr 10, 2017 -> 02:17 AM) Retired after tonight's game. Got to take a shootout goal though, and nailed it. Someone said the Flyer's players fistbumped him on his way to his teammates. That's a pretty awesome way to end it for him. Always seemed like a good guy, had that awesome playoff run too. Seemed to fall out of the good graces of the fans because of his health problems and the large contract he signed. What was he supposed to do, say no?
-
Leafs and Oilers make the playoffs, Red Wings don't. What? Can't wait to see how many 8:45 games the Hawks/Preds series gets
-
You were supposed to sign him when you still had Sale

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 10:11 PM) But have you heard of Carlos Sanchez? Haha, I have. I'm not that bad of a fan. I now vaguely remember an off-season article about a name change. Thanks.
-
I have never heard of Yolmer Sanchez. Bad moderator I am, I know

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 10:06 PM) Terrific AB. He's always good in the clutch It was like he was listening to the broadcast calling out the pitches.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 10:01 PM) 1,000 brave souls Plus 5,000 drunken souls, especially the guys behind the 3rd base dugout

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 09:59 PM) Frazier's taking this guy yard on 3-1. Book it. Or he's gonna let strike 3 cruise right past him. Ouch.

Was there an attendance figure released tonight?

They should give Nicole her own spinoff show. I'd watch it, she cracks me up the whole time.

And yet another truck terrorist attack in Europe. You still want to be president Donald?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 08:05 AM) Russia was notified in advance because they had troops stationed there, which was the correct move. Nothing good will come from intervention in Syria, but it's not surprising that Hawks from both parties and the media are cheering this on. Let's hope this strike on a military base is the extent of it. What does that mean if Russia had troops stationed at the air base that launched a chemical attack?
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 08:28 AM) I am taking something from a week ago. Stay out, keep your people out of our country even if they are in grave danger, Assad may be a bad guy, but not our problem. Why was it different when Obama was considering doing the same thing? Why was he a "foolish" leader? Chemical attack was a concern then. Don't you think action before a chemical attack might have helped out more innocent people than waiting for them to die by the thousands. And he still doesn't want those people and children in our country. He is full of s*** with the ban and I have never said differently. I'm not supporting anything in this tweets. I'm just questioning the relevance of every single tweet of his lifetime back when he didn't even have anybody to answer to.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 08:20 AM) Well, he changed in a week. A week ago they weren't going to hold Assad accountable for the atrocities he has done to his citizens, and Obama a week ago was still a fool to even consider doing what Trump is now doing. A week ago there weren't fresh, new images on every media channel in the world of chemical attack victims. It's not an enviable position by any means, I don't know if it was the right move or not. But quoting tweets from 3+ years ago about Syria is the same as everyone yelling at greg about e-mails.

Let's hope this strike on a military base is the extent of it. Politicians are always scared to be against moves like this, just in case it can be construed as anti-patriotism and anti-"SUPPORT THE TROOPS".
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 7, 2017 -> 08:01 AM) He disagrees Trump is obviously the 1st person in the history of the world to change their opinion over the course of 3+ years during an escalating military situation. Are TWEETS! the new E-MAILS!
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 09:28 PM) So the guy who criticized striking against Syria and his cronies who cried out against Obama wanting to strike Syria are now all for it? Wtf. He went from a civilian with a Twitter account to the most powerful man in the world so quickly and faces this f***ed up situation in Syria. For all his bulls*** and flip flopping, those tweets seem like one of the last places to point fingers IMO.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 6, 2017 -> 09:20 PM) Haha...back in 2013, he was one of the few things that kept me interested in baseball. Now we at least have our minor league system, Luis Robert and the next 3 drafts. 3 homers in 2 days. He's back?
