  1. The kicker was a half yard away from giving Bama a free Hail Mary, lol.
  2. QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 11:07 PM) Yet another big game where the NCAA's timing issues are on full display. Just wait until this game goes into quadruple overtime
  3. Sark is pulling a Kiffin and abandoning the run all of a sudden
  4. QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 07:44 PM) Now I remember why I don't care about the CFP. These games just take forever. 2nd half started 2.5 hours after the scheduled kickoff time, ridiculous.
  5. Look at the guns on this ref, he could give Hochuli a run for his money
  6. Jordy Nelson has at least two broken ribs. Ouch. Not that the injury stopped Rodgers on Sunday.
  7. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 12:17 PM) The man was hearing voices. He thought he was being recruited by the US into ISIS. He went to the FBI office in Anchorage telling them this and they admitted him into a hospital for FOUR DAYS. You think that's enough time to help someone who was hearing voices and obviously was mentally unstable? Oh, by the way, he served our country in Iraq. What he did was horrible. What wasn't done for him was just as bad because it could have saved those lives. As Tex said, it's time to address the mental health crisis. And yet he was still legally permitted to own a gun.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 08:53 AM) I'm sensing an upset tonight. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking. They almost beat them last year, so I don't see why they couldn't. They have the pass rush to give the freshman QB some fits and maybe cause a mistake or two. And Watson should be able to put up some points on the D.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 07:05 AM) I need Soxtalk's advice / confirmation I'm doing the right thing. Our daughter is 22 months old. She's awesome. We have a nanny. She's solid - when she shows up to work - and has an amazing relationship with our daughter. By my estimation, said nanny missed about 30 days in 2016 due to family (sick father, sister died) and her own health problems (has been in the hospital about 6 times for some heart issue). I have 11 direct reports at work, and half of them are 24 or under. This means they need guidance quite a bit or else projects will go haywire. I am at my wit's end. While I am understanding of her situation, it has become a great strain for my wife and I to continually - have to miss work - lean on family members who then have to miss work - deal with random people watching our daughter who aren't keyed in on her schedule, thus causing workday distractions Anyway, in her "contract", it clearly says we can fire her for cause. Over the weekend she fainted at Gurnee Mills. Honestly, I was mostly prepared to deal with her missing work for "one more year", but now I am having real anxiety over the thought of her fainting while carrying my daughter through a parking lot to a store. One of the benefits of having a nanny is our daughter gets to go all over the place, shop, do fun things. I am concerned. So, having typed all of this, of course I have to replace her. However, I just wanted to get Soxtalk's backing. We interviewed a young woman last night who seems like a good fit. Oh man, firing our nanny is going to be so hard. It sounds like you did her a favor by holding on to her as long as you have, a firing would have been justifiable a while ago.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 07:51 AM) On his most recent podcast, Bill Simmons called Nick Saban a coward for staying in Alabama and "picking on and beating inferior competition" because he wont come to the NFL. He also threw in a few shots "does he hit from the pink tees when he golfs?" and things like that. thoughts? I think Bill is upset that he is now irrelevant is trying to get his name back in the news. If what Saban is doing is so easy, why can't any other coach (other than Urban) compete with him? The previous Alabama coaches couldn't hand-pick recruits the way he does, it's because he's so good.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 06:24 AM) Poor orange baby hands is so mad at overrated Meryl " you'll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts" Where do I sign up?
  12. Ugliest hat trick ever? Nice work Hartman I'm not convinced the Hawks are that good yet but they keep winning
  13. Death is not an option: Packers vs Patriots Super Bowl or Red Sox vs Cubs World Series?????
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2017 -> 10:36 PM) Rodgers is the best QB ever
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 7, 2017 -> 12:37 AM) Who are those people? The Hawks are the best franchise in Chicago I understand the Hull stuff, but outside of that, they are the best The Hull stuff I understand as well, but a certain popular Hawks site seems to drop a Kane is a rapist comment daily like there is a major vendetta and they seem to hold it against the Hawks with a grudge. But no similar vitrol when you trade for a player coming off a DV suspension. Just be consistent.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 7, 2017 -> 10:48 AM) If people actually cared about corruption they wouldn't have elected Trump. If people actually cared about corruption, they wouldn't have given the Democratic nomination to Hillary either. What can you do?
  17. Getting sick of the Hawks fans on their high horse about the Hawks being an awful franchise because of Kane or Hull while bragging about their 2016 WS Champions gear.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 05:43 PM) Nobody saw him in the bathroom loading the gun? When you use a public bathroom at an airport, do you open every stall door to see what each guy is doing in there?
  19. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 05:03 PM) The players really have no leverage so getting pissy with the administration is never going to end well for the players. Yeah, their only option is to play or transfer, not sure how serious they are about leaving. It's just such a toxic situation with even Jerry Kill talking s*** about the administration, but Fleck isn't gonna go 12-0 ever again at W. Michigan, so gotta get paid while you can.
  20. QUOTE (brett05 @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 07:29 AM) I must miss a lot of posts. It seems the board is 90+ liberal The board as a whole is more conservative, but the majority of posts in the 'Buster lean way more liberal.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 04:24 PM) Ryan Thibodaux ‏@NotMrTibbs 2h2 hours ago @ 172 ballots/~39.5%: Bags 92% Raines 92% Pudge 83% Vlad 75% Hoff 72% Edgar 69% BB 69% RC 68% Moose 62% Schill 54% http://bit.ly/bbhof2017 If Pudge is so easily voted in, then it's indefensible to not vote in Bonds and Clemens.
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 11:21 PM) This is the reason I'm more reluctant to trade him right now than any of our other name guys. He's a guy that could really rebuild some of his trade value if he goes off in the 1st half like he did the 2nd half of last season. Obviously, if the right deal comes along right now, please move him but he's a guy that could really be more valuable come the deadline than right now. With guys like Trumbo and Joey Bats available on the FA market, Abreu's trade value is pretty limited now. But at the deadline, there could be unexpected contenders, a team with an injury, etc., and his value could skyrocket.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 10:11 AM) Did you catch the edit? I realized I needed to add that after caffeine addition. It doesn't have to be deliberate - if the exchanges are ending in 2019 or 2020, or if the subsidies are even reduced starting in 2018, then virtually all companies on them will leave in 2018. How many companies are even left? 1 or 2? Obamacare already shut down so many insurance companies the past few years, might as well complete the knockout punch.
