  1. This World Juniors overtime has been awesome. Time for a shootout
  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 01:05 PM) Sounds like PJ Fleck is taking the Minnesota job. Interesting. Now? Good luck with that.
  3. Do the Bulls own LeBron in the regular season or is it just me? (Obviously that means absolutely nothing but it seems like they always step up in "big" games during the regular season )
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2017 -> 07:37 PM) Has anyone seen news on how to get tickets for the Presidential farewall speech? Last I saw was they were going to give them away on Saturday, but nothing since. They are available for purchase on the Health Insurance marketplace
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2017 -> 11:57 AM) With injuries they had, TBH, I am surprised they were as competitive as they were. They gave away three games at least this year.. I don't like Fox and especially hate his in-game management, but he definitely wasn't the problem. They competed. The problem was lack of talent due to current/prior front office and injuries. I'm not as concerned about the head coach as I am the GM. How much time do you give Pace? I feel as if he has been hit or miss on his picks so far. He did nothing with the QB position for 2 years and now it's a black hole. You don't wanna fire him too soon, but you let him drag you in the mud too long if he's not up to the task.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2017 -> 01:29 PM) Spot on. I think most echoed my post when he was canned that he would be welcome as a coordinator. It's being considered a home run hire. There's definitely been more criticism in the national media than I expected, so Urban's gonna have to do some explaining or tell some funny jokes at the next press conference. But all will be forgotten when they put up a 70 spot vs Indiana.
  7. Oh Hawk, you selfish old man. The rebuild won't be complete until he's removed completely from the booth. His voice is just a reminder of the staleness of the last 10 years.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2017 -> 11:59 AM) I wonder how long its going to take until the Kevin Wilson hiring is announced. Urban should get criticized like crazy for that hiring, but he won't because winning is all that matters.
  9. QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Jan 2, 2017 -> 08:12 PM) We were robbed of Penn State in the playoff. edit- we were really robbed of both these teams, but at least Washington had a better resume than USC. We were robbed of USC in the playoff because Sam Darnold didn't start from day one. They still would have lost to Alabama in September but probably would have ran the table after that. Once he got in the lineup they were definitely a top 4 team, they dominated Washington in Seattle, but you can't ignore the 3 losses.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 2, 2017 -> 07:32 PM) It improved. The trashy Rose Bowl is now high on meth. Overtime is a lock, right?
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 2, 2017 -> 02:56 PM) And I'm sorry. You can't be the greatest at anything with only 1 sb title. MJ is not the consensus GOAT with only 1 title. No matter what the numbers say. Brady should be 6/6 in SBs and will probably win it again this year. Haha. Should be 6 for 6? So he should have won the two one score losses but he couldn't have lost the 4 one score victories. Rings matter but it's way different than the NBA, one player can only do so much. Peyton finally won a 2nd ring when he couldn't throw the ball past 15 yards.
  12. Kiffin loses his job in between the semifinal and final, yet it's only like the 3rd craziest story of his career.
  13. Brady reminds me of Duncan where you know he is good and they win every year, but it's so methodical you might not appreciate it as much. Where as Rodgers makes that throw to Geronimo last night and you are just in awe.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 1, 2017 -> 02:36 PM) My hope tonight is that the Redskins win and the Packers /Lions head to overtime. The loser doesn't make the playoffs but a tie and both teams advance and knock out Washington. That could be entertaining strategy . Although the Lions would prefer the division and home playoff game. So much for that. Although the Giants won me some $$$. Winner tonight gets Giants at home, loser flies to Seattle. That's a big difference, still some intrigue for NBC.
  15. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 1, 2017 -> 04:09 PM) The Raiders play took guts. This play was like a preseason game where neither teams wants to go to OT. John Fox would have kicked the extra point.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 1, 2017 -> 03:08 PM) Re: Panthers/Bucs game a second ago. Has there been a single case this year where a team down 7 in the late 4th quarter scored a TD, went for 2 to take the lead rather than kicking to tie, and won the game? I can't remember one and I'm recalling several losses that way, including this game. Week 1 Raiders Saints http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxs...01609110nor.htm

  18. Lesson of the day: You can never have enough bad ass defensive linemen. Bummer these games are so uneventful, I was looking forward to them.
  19. QUOTE (rowand's rowdies @ Dec 30, 2016 -> 06:47 PM) I definitely forgot about D Marte. When he was on he was unhittable as a lefty out of the pen. I was a big fan but game 3 of the ALDS ruined it all.
