  1. Latos had one hell of a curve ball today.
  2. QUOTE (SoxSteve @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 04:04 PM) I will take Loney in a heartbeat. Around 296 BA and 340 OBP against righties is great platoon player for our DH position. We don't have a good OBP team and i think it really hurts us. Sands offers nothing and we have a bunch of right handers who don't on get on base enough like Frazier, Lowrie, Jackson and Garcia. Hope it happens. I would too, but I think Murphy is a much better fit for the team.
  3. Why you don't throw nothing but sliders outside to Abreu is beyond me.
  4. Can we be interested in David Murphy instead?
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:40 PM) Latos looks like Bobby Jenks. Skinnier Bobby Jenks lol
  6. Latos' stuff is more or less what John Danks has...how is this happening.
  7. At least Avi is hitting the ball hard.
  8. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) Latos is throwing absolute junk up there. Not sure how long that's going to work. He'll probably start getting hit the second time around.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) KRod implosion Good to see the Tigers bullpen still blows.
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 03:50 PM) Cano already has 4 homeruns. So does Trevor Story...lol Cano's struggles in the first half really deflated his season last year. He was pretty solid in the second.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:44 PM) It is consistent with how I was taught to play the game and I fully think it is a solid play. It isn't as if the Rays were up in arms in protest either about it. They just figured, what the hell, why not. I'll give you that he probably shouldn't have reached out, but I like this style of play. Incidental contact is one thing, but doing it on purpose is another. Are you also OK with A-Rod trying to hit the ball out of the pitcher's hand? Because you're basically saying that's OK too by allowing base runners to trip fielders on purpose.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) He's just mediocre. A 3.76 xfip, average fastball is 93 MPH, and over 3 walks per 9 innings last year. He is what he is. Has some decent movement that makes up for lack of pure velocity out of the pen but walks way too many guys and doesn't miss enough bats to be a high leverage reliever. I'd use him against RHP before Duke, but I'd probably rate Jennings as a little better just because he misses more bats. They both have issues with walks. I'm not a fan or anything, but he's definitely a viable 6th or 7th inning guy.
  13. After watching Bassitt throw 96 last night, I'm even saltier about that trade. Sounded great at the time though.
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 02:12 PM) Dude you need Chromecast or Apple TV. No need to watch a baseball game on an iPad. Link it and stream it to your TV. My guess on the lineup tonight and tomorrow. DH Eaton SS Rollins 1B Abreu 3B Frazier LF Melky 2B Lawrie RF Shuck C Avila CF Jackson Tomorrow RF Eaton SS Saladino 1B Abreu 3B Frazier LF Melky DH Garcia 2B Lawrie C Navarro CF Jackson I've been watching it on my tablet when I'm using the TV to play PS4.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 11:14 AM) In my mind: DRob > Jones > Albers > Duke > Putnam > Jennings > Petricka Man you guys really hate Petricka. I'd put him above Duke and Jennings easily.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 10:30 AM) Albers was hitting 93-96 last night with movement...... Last year I think he was 89-92... Albers' fastball was under 90 last year. Last night he averaged 94.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 09:49 AM) Good optics. http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/_/group/league lol soak it up while we can. It's hard to believe we're the only 2-0 team in the AL
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:43 AM) I know that video looks bad, but it doesn't show how he did give him a high five a minute earlier. Well I guess that helps a bit. I thought Eaton was being all grumpy after we just went up. Might be a case of, "I just high fived you, now this is awkward".
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 10:15 PM) Are the Rays the first ever replay reversal walk off win? Stupid move by Bautista. His slide was clean, but he hooked the 2B as he went by him.
  20. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:40 AM) This is the link to the dugout scene... you be the judge. https://twitter.com/nicksamp7/status/717584245405782016 Wow Eaton. Stop being a sore loser.
  21. Nice win. Great way for Rollins to make up for his double play earlier in the game.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2016 -> 12:33 AM) Is it me or does he look heavier? I haven't really noticed. Hey, if gaining some mass helps him hit better, I don't care.
