Seth McClung revealing the 5 cheapest organizations he's played for
chw42 replied to WestEddy's topic in The Diamond Club
He also played for the Marlins and Rangers system at one point. For a guy who has only played for 7 yeams, it's kind of weird to list the 5 cheapest teams he's played for. I'm assuming the Marlins and Brewers will make the list, with the Marlins probably at #1. -
Dodgers just put this away
-
Story just missed that.
-
Like how the Sox planned on using Crochet in 2020? The most innings he's thrown this year is 1.2. You think they'll let him possibly go to 50-60 pitches?
-
Miller really threw 104.5? Holy s%*#.
-
I haven't really paid attention to them, but their starting rotation is solid. Greene is their best pitcher and he just got tagged. I don't think they have the hitting to really compete with the Dodgers if they're going to hit like this.

That Laureano injury really hurts now
-
Yeah I think his career might be done. For a guy who relies on speed like him, that is not something you just come back from.
-
As Love was throwing that, it reminded me of the Bears doing that against the Lions last Thanksgiving. Too bad they still had time left after it was incomplete. It would have been glorious for that to happen for Eberflus against the Packers.
-
I think that was mostly Will Levis being bad. I don't think Geno threw anything close to as bad as Levis' picks. Byard and Stevenson just made 3 great plays on him.
-
That's gotta be the ugliest win for the Bears in a long time. But thank god they won cause I could not take another 2 weeks of discourse about how bad this team is. Losing while playing like s%*# going into a bye week is the worst.
-
That was the most Guardians way to win a game. 2 out walk, bloop, intentional walk, HBP. This has to be one of the most fortunate teams of all time.
-
If he can consistently throw 98-100, he might be a reliever. His control is not good enough for him to be a starter. Plus his velocity is inconsistent too. He either throws 93-94 or comes out throwing high 90s.

Astros will be eliminated with a Guardians win.

2025 MLB season...catch-all for non-Sox, non AL-Central
chw42 replied to caulfield12's topic in The Diamond Club
Tigers and Guardians only need to win 1 more game to knock the Astros out. They no longer control their own destiny. -
Hill's catch on Wood totally turned that inning around. I was sure that thing was splitting the gap and tying the game. Good to see Colson hit #20 in a big spot.
-
Tigers look like they're gonna choke this game away. Silver lining for them is that Boston doesn't need to win the last 2 games.
-
I think Cleveland has to have one of the worst collection of position players to ever get into the playoffs or win a division. Outside of Ramirez and Kwan, nobody on their team is even close to 2 fWAR. Their offense is as bad as the Sox in terms of wRC+ (they're 28th in baseball). But what keeps them afloat is that they're 2nd in clutch (while the Sox are 29th). That, their defense, and their bullpen being good is the difference between them and the 2025 White Sox.

I thought he hit 63 a few years ago, but it's actually 62. 3 is definitely doable in 4 games. -

I want to see him hit 4 more to break the AL record. He really should win MVP. -
Detroit still alive because the Astros are even more sorry than they are
-
Here comes another bullpen meltdown
-
It sure feels pretty over for the Tigers
-
They don't even need a good closer, just a bang average one. If you can get a discount on a guy coming off a down year like Devin Williams or Ryan Helsley, it's absolutely worth paying them on a short term deal to try and stabilize the bullpen next year. You can't keep blowing 20 games a year because Jerry can't spare $10 million. There's no point in tanking next year when you're not gonna get a top 10 draft pick anyhow.
-
Edwin Diaz got 6 outs last night and the Cubs really weren't all that close to even getting on base. There's no way that any manager would play matchups to get the last outs of the game if they had a guy like that at the end of their bullpen.
