  1. Mets tie it on an error by Rocchio
  2. Polanco almost tied the game, but the runner couldn't score from first.
  3. Hedges has hit really well this year for his standards. Bailey can at least get a big hit once in a while. Romo is literally a pitcher at the plate.
  4. That wild pitch was pretty catchable. Almost seems like they got crossed up.
  5. It's gotta be damn near impossible to hit 102 when you've looked at breaking balls all game long.
  6. We had a guy who threw 102 and gave him up?
  7. Yup. It's like he was looking curveball and got a fastball and swung way too late.
  8. The one time he hits the ball oppo, it's the worst possible outcome haha
  9. The one time Colson doesn't K, he kills the rally.
  10. He throws his breaking ball 36% of the time on average. So he always throws it a lot.
  11. Burke's worst start in months.
  12. I stopped paying attention after I saw the ground out to Lindor lol
  13. He's throwing 50/50 in terms of breaking ball/fastball. Do the Sox need to have a better approach? Yes. But it's not as easy as just telling hitters to layoff the curve.
  14. Mets got out of a bases loaded jam
  15. Yeah but he throws his other pitches for strikes.
  16. That's what it feels like.
  17. He throws enough strikes to make it so that you can't just go up and take.
  18. Did they take Contreras out?
  19. Quero is just much worse at the catching part.
  20. Foolish Baseball did a video on how the Brewers were bad against good pitchers but great against bad ones. A byproduct of that video is figuring out the Sox are also terrible against good pitchers and good against the bad ones. We had the 2nd highest wOBA difference between our performance against the top 25% of pitchers and bottom 25% of pitchers. This includes last year as well as this year though, but I think it also applies this year.
  21. We're playing like Boston did earlier in the season against them.
  22. They just can't layoff the curve.
