LUIS ROBERT TRADED
If they sent no money at all, then that explains why the return is so bad. But when your payroll is as low as ours, the money doesn't really matter and you'd rather get something more useful back than a utility player and a 12th round pitcher.

I think they spent that on Murakami.

His swing looks just like his brother's. He just doesn't have his brother's build or athleticism.

I didn't understand the need to go for a 1v1 50/50 ball from Beck there. There's plenty of time left.

I thought that losing wouldn't hurt after last week, but the fact they had a miracle play to tie it and were 15 yards away from possibly winning it in OT stings a lot. This really felt like a special team with how they came back in games. I think the future is bright for the team, but we might never experience the level of magic this team had again.

My thoughts exactly. If we can somehow get a 3rd for DJ, Poles should do it. It saves us about 16.5 million in cap space. The WR free agency class is pretty weak outside of Pickens. But he's probably gonna get franchise tagged. The draft isn't loaded at WR either, especially at where the Bills pick. The top 3 guys are probably all gone by the time the Bills pick in the 20s.

If they trade him, the dead cap hit is only about 12 million, making a savings of 16.5 million. I have to imagine it would be hard for anyone to give much in return for him though. You're probably getting a 4th rounder with how much guaranteed money is left on his contract.

I've done a 180 on Swift. I don't think they can get a better RB than him for his salary next year. You might as well keep him unless you can get a value RB on day 3. They really should be focusing on the defense in days 1 and 2 of the draft.

Cutting Edmunds saves a lot of money. They can also restructure a decent amount of money to make space. They can leverage the future a little bit to make some space, but I can't see them signing or trading for anyone too significant. They're going to need to improve through the draft.

His dead cap is bigger than his cap hit next year. I don't think he's getting traded. Poles made a huge mistake giving him that extension with 81 million guaranteed before he even played a snap with Caleb. Especially when you consider he was under contract for 2 more years at that time.

DJ is like Yoan Moncada. He acts like he just died every time he gets hit too hard. Maybe sometimes he does and he toughs it out, but I've never seen a player go down so many times and then come back a few plays later like nothing happened. Either he's a tank or he just over sells the pain. Then you have the constant effort issues despite being clearly a very talented player. It's frustrating, especially because he was a big part of so many big wins in the past month. We're not playing in this game without him, but at the same time, he contributed to us losing this game.

If you watch the all 22 of the interception, Ben Johnson drew up a play that created a massive window in the defense. Moore ends up running way too deep of a crossing route and doesn't flatten it like he's supposed to. If he turns his route into more of a dig instead of a deep crosser he would have been wide ass open. At the very worst that's incomplete because Caleb maybe leads him on the throw a bit too much. Everyone maybe should have gotten a little blame on this play. Johnson with maybe too aggressive of a play call (even though it should have worked), Caleb with maybe leads DJ too much on this throw even if he runs the correct route, and DJ for straight up running the wrong route for the situation. But the main issue stems from DJ running the wrong route. You can't be having miscommunications like this in the playoffs in overtime in a gotta have it situation. That's something that Ben Johnson and the FO have to address. Cause this is a personnel and coaching issue.

Yeah I get that, but even prior to the injury, he was trending in the wrong direction after a good start to the season.

Loveland was so dependable all year, but he had some absolutely terrible drops in the first half. At this point, I expect Rome to not come up with the tough catches. He plays like he's a much smaller receiver way too often. He's basically Chase Claypool without the personality and attitude issues.

I honestly thought they should have taken the points on the first drive. But the problem with that drive was Odunze short arming the TD he should have caught.

I mean yeah, but I'd argue that we were in those situations because the defense couldn't generate turnovers when they did the hardest part (force the fumbles).

The scariest part of watching the Bears offense isn't when they face 3rd and forever, it's when it's 3rd/4th and short. We just can't consistently hit in the quick game. The fact that Ben keeps going for it in these situations just makes it worse.

I'd actually argue the Bears had terrible turnover luck in the playoffs. They forced 6 fumbles in the last 2 games and recovered none of them. Stafford also had 2-3 tipped passes that didn't get intercepted. All the turnover luck they had in the regular season just went away. They also threw 2 picks cause the receivers ran the wrong route and another one was because the main receiver slipped on 4th down.

Obviously amazing season. But man...to get that TD to send the game to OT and then fumble the game on that interception. That hurts. I'm not sure this team had what it takes to go win next week in Seattle, but you play the games for a reason. I bet nobody thought this defense could hold Stafford and the Rams to 17 points over 4 quarters. If you had told me that before the game, I would have guaranteed that we'd win. The offense just could not convert key 4th downs in the first half. That pick in OT was probably on Moore. We don't know what the play is, but I don't think Caleb just throws it up there like that if he didn't think Moore was going to break his route off. DJ's kind of known for improvising at the worst times, but he played a great game before that today. That's just part of the DJ Moore experience I guess.

This is just cruel to both teams. Broncos basically have no chance next week and Josh Allen gets knocked out by a team without a QB for the rest of the year.
