2015 Videogame thread
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 09:49 AM) So how does The Show look on ps3? Decent enough? I still haven't pulled the trigger on a new system but really need an upgrade from my mlb the show 2013 game. It probably looks the same as it did last year. They don't work on the last gen version if they have a next-gen game out. It's just how it is.

I struck out 16 times against Zack Greinke. His curveball is unreal.

So when I mentioned no David Luiz as a bad thing for PSG, I was definitely wrong. Suarez made Luiz his b**** in the second half. He got nutmegged twice.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 08:10 AM) So the price on Bayern Munich away to Porto has dropped to almost EVEN in most places. Porto is great at home but will probably be missing Jackson Martinez and Christian Tello. I know Bayern is a little banged up right now but shouldn't they be much greater favorites here? I just can't see Porto having the ability to stop them. It's a 2 goal lead. I think Bayern can definitely win 2-0 at home. It's always tough to play from behind though. You already know Porto is probably going to play 5 at the back and with a defensive mindset come the next match. It'd be dumb of them not to park the bus.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 02:16 PM) Out of curiosity, anyone know what the win probability stats say about bunting with Eaton there?? (And please ignore the two strike bunt, everyone else knows how bad of an idea that was) We had a 25.7% chance of winning after Micah's HBP. Eaton's strike out decreased it to 15.1%.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 02:13 PM) Eaton's head is up his ass. Robin should have saved him from himself if that was the case. I don't know what's worse -- that Robin either called for the bunt -- or that he didn't give the "SWING THE f*** AWAY" sign with 2 strikes. Seriously, pick one and either way it's retarded. In that situation, don't look for the bunt, look for the walk. Allen was wild. That should have been evident since he walked and hit a batter just before that.

The managerial decisions in that 9th inning were abysmal. I don't care if Eaton did that on his own. If you're the manager, you tell the batter you don't f***ing bunt with 2 strikes twice.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 02:07 PM) That was ball 4 Melky. The amount of mental mistakes have been unreal He swung at ball 4 on the previous pitch too. It's like this team is immune to taking walks.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 02:05 PM) I doubt he had the bunt on. I bet Eaton did that on his own. If Robin didn't want him bunting, he would have had explicit instructions not to bunt with 2 strikes the second time around.

Jesus does Melky not want to walk?

Against a guy who just walked someone and then hit someone with a pitch, you decide to give up an out? Come the f*** on!

There's a run that probably shouldn't have scored...

Are the Indians just bad at hitting 88 MPH fastballs? Cause they had issues dealing with Quintana's low 90s/high 80s fastball yesterday.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 08:58 AM) I have Devin Mesoraco, David Wright, Anthony Rendon, Christian Yelich, Xander Boegarts, and Homer Bailey on my fantasy team, and all of them are hurt. Unbelievable. My keeper money league too....... I have the first two. It does suck...

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 09:38 AM) Carrasco is ok. He's starting Monday against the Sox. Damn that's a really fast turn-around. Good thing he's alright. The only way the Sox can get to Bauer is if they let him pitch himself into trouble. He walked 6 Astros the last time out. The stuff is good, but his control is still erratic.

QUOTE (OnlyGillis @ Apr 15, 2015 -> 12:20 AM) A snooze fest between Real Madrid and Atletico in the Champions League today. I suspect tomorrow's game between PSG and Barcelona could be much more entertaining. No Ibra. No David Luiz. Barca should get some away goals.

So it looks like the new members of the bullpen are all legit. I was a bit scared of Robertson bombing after ST, but he's doing the exact opposite.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) Robertson seems to try to be Buehrle fast. After seeing Quintana take his glove off, rub the ball, do his little ritual to get on the rubber, then look in for the sign, what Robertson did was a breath of fresh air.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) I think there are a lot of people who would rather have the 4 seed. Doesn't really matter to me though, have to beat the best to be the best I think I'd rather have Rose play against poorer competition in the first round to regain some confidence. He usually plays really well against the Bucks. You have to beat Cleveland one way or another to get out of the East. You might as well get it out of the way earlier.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) Sox have 2 good LH relievers been a long time. Probably the first time in 3-4 years, when Thornton was still dominant.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 09:00 PM) jesus cle crew don't even know about his arm slot change. do the least bit of research guys. He throws out of both slots. I don't know if you noticed. In the AB against Kipnis, his first few pitches were all out of 3/4. He went side-arm for 2 straight sliders and Kipnis probably read that and didn't even bother to swing. Good thing he made a great pitch on 3-2.
