  1. Duke quick-pitched Santana. He wasn't ready for that fastball. lol
  2. Avi hit that one about 385-390. We need more of that out of him (not for an out obviously). He hits the ball with a lot of authority, it's just that they're usually liners or ground balls.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 08:13 PM) I don't think putting the city name across the chest should be called "dumb." It's unconventional for football. I don't know if anyone else has it.
  4. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:15 PM) my goodness the browns new uniforms are bad. I thought they were just gonna change the hue of color on the uniforms like they did with their logo. Maybe they should have done that instead.
  5. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) Duke and Jennings deserve steak dinners for their work the last two games. The defense has attempted to screw those two over many times in the first week alone.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) Flowers really loves that high fastball lol. 1-2-3 in the batting order. Let's try to make the pitcher actually work Eaton's gotta start taking more pitches. Cabrera and Abreu aren't exactly patient hitters. He's the most patient of the bunch. He's gotta make the pitcher at least work a bit.
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:58 PM) Flowers really loves that high fastball lol. 1-2-3 in the batting order. Let's try to make the pitcher actually work I think his train of thought is this..."I can't hit it or lay off it, then that means they can't either right?!?!"
  8. It wouldn't be Ryan Raburn if he doesn't get an RBI against us.
  9. Bonifacio has zero plate discipline. He didn't get a strike that entire AB.
  10. Jose's usually very unfortunate in his starts. Not today. He's lucky the Indians haven't plated 5-6 runs yet.
  11. He would have been gone had Flowers made a half decent throw.
  12. Damn it Conor...
  13. I'm not surprised that we're not doing much against McAlister so far. He's had success against us for whatever reason.
  14. QUOTE (Dunt @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 07:06 PM) Can't locate that breaking ball at all. Where is the change up? Good question. Quintana's a Fastball/Change/Cutter guy. He's gotta find his change or cutter the second time around or it's gonna get ugly. When hitters sit on a fastball, especially a 91 MPH fastball without a ton of movement, it's bad news.
  15. Quintana has nothing right now. None of the off-speed pitches are working.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:50 PM) I think he needs to pick up the pace from the stretch. I was talking about pitch selection when ahead.
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:47 PM) Why does Q f***ing nibble so much. He wasted like 3 balls to go full on two hitters. I wonder if it's a Quintana issue or a Flowers/Coop issue.
  18. QUOTE (Chris Sale @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:44 PM) Aviles does it again... I feel like playing White Sox buoys his stats enough to make him look like a competent major leaguer. Believe it or not, he only has a .662 OPS against us. That's lower than his career OPS of .692. It's weird because it seems like he always kills us.
  19. Thanks Aviles.
  20. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:35 PM) Does it seem we can't steal a base? We didn't run enough before. Now we're running way too much. There needs to be a middle ground.
  21. I wonder if this 35 minute hiatus will mess with Quintana.
  22. McAllister's numbers against the Sox: 3-2 2.88 ERA in 8 starts. 50 IP 24K/6BB 1.08 WHIP
  23. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:23 PM) The way he was acting and holding the side of his face, I would pretty much guarantee that his jaw is broke. Hopefully I am way wrong though. Honestly, it's fortunate if that's the only thing he walks away with after this. A broken jaw will heal in a few months, a broken brain is much harder to deal with.
  24. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:21 PM) Dirty play by Melky. Must be the roids.
  25. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 14, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) No graphics on the screen old school I thought it was just an issue with the MLB.tv feed. Maybe not.
