  1. Kirk is gonna choke on one of these free throws, I can already see it.
  2. For the love of god Thibs, put in DJ, Butler, Dunleavy, Gibson, and Noah for this possession.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:21 PM) Thibs. WTF, leave Kirk in and take out Taj? He must be in love with Kirk's defense lawl. Thibs is a great coach but my god is he stubborn.
  4. Dunleavy's finally back in and an offensive foul on Wall.
  5. Bulls are pretty much done if they lose this one. Oh well.
  6. I'm fairly sure Kirk Hinrich has lost us this game. He's the only one who's fresh out of these guys and he's bricking every open shot.
  7. Jesus Christ Thibs, take out Kirk and put in Dunleavy. Might want to think about putting in Boozer too. These guys are gassed.
  8. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:02 PM) they look completely gassed. JIMMAY has returned to 48 minute status. DJ's played the last two quarters.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) Wow, how can you miss that foul on the jump ball? Gibson never even got to go up and tip the ball.
  10. Just terrible. Brick after brick. I don't think Nene even got his hand on the ball for the jump ball call.
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:00 PM) Offense went bye bye when Dunleavy came off the floor. It makes no sense to leave him on the bench right now. Either play DJ or Kirk, not both. Beal is way too big for Augustin to guard.
  12. This Bulls offense has been absolutely dreadful down the stretch in both games so far.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 08:09 AM) Cosmos told one of my all-time favorite science stories last night, Dr. Patterson, the age of the Earth, and lead poisoning. I saw this last night. It's definitely been the best episode of the new series thus far.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 04:36 PM) Silicon Valley was very good this week. But man, how many shows have we seen have a vison quest episode? I'm glad it wasn't the main story in the episode, but just off the top of my head shows to include that event include Entourage, Blue Mountain State, Workaholics, King of the Hill, Eastbound and Down, and now Silicon Valley. Mike Judge did also make King of the Hill, so that much makes sense.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 10:16 AM) Shea got ripped. https://twitter.com/ScotProhaska/status/456...6679169/photo/1 He wasn't exactly in the best shape before...
  16. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) What's the better stat, FIP or xFIP? Also, we couldn't even get a lottery ticket prospect for Lindstrom last year. I'm not saying he's a horrible reliever, but he's not a closer and that's not just based on his performance so far this year. Lindstrom's mediocre, he won't net anything great. And they're more or less the same stat except xFIP normalizes home runs based on fly balls. On average, 11% of fly balls are HRs. So instead of counting home runs, 11% of all fly balls the pitcher gives up (outside of infield flies) are counted as home runs in the xFIP calculation. FIP is a better indicator for that year and maybe the next year while xFIP is a better indicator for a year or two in the future.
  17. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 09:22 PM) Forgive me, what's FIP? Fielding Independent Pitching. It takes Ks, BBs, HBPs, and HRs into account, four things that pitchers have almost total control over. It basically assumes that over small sample sizes, there's too much luck involved and that the pitcher does not have total control over where the ball is hit. Therefore, runs that aren't home runs are not counted against the pitcher. While ERAs may vary year in and year out, FIPs usually stay fairly constant for any given player. There are outliers in the stat (Javy Vazquez and Ricky Nolasco are two examples), but usually, it's pretty accurate in giving a snapshot of a pitcher's true talent.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 08:43 AM) Nice trade Dave, that wasn't an overreaction at all. Can't wait for him to go 3-4 with a run saving catch. Lombardozi's also doing well with the Orioles. Dombrowski's made some awful trades this past off-season.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 04:59 PM) Cole is an idiot and should be blamed for that whole ordeal. Pitchers should never talk trash and you never b**** at a guy for admiring a non-home run; he's already been punished by looking like an idiot. Looks like Russell Martin was a little too eager to prove he could fight somebody too. Tempers aside, though, Gomez looks a lot like a guy who is juiced up He does play with Ryan Braun. And he also started hitting for a lot more power once he became a Brewer. So yeah, I don't think that's a coincidence.
  20. lol this is getting ridiculous.
  21. It's like that Rockies game all over again. No wonder Noesi got DFA'd. He's terrible.
  22. Bob Davidson loves ringing hitters up on check swings. Danks did look like he went on that one though. But the De Aza call was horrendous.
