  1. I thought Frazier hit that one a lot farther than he did.
  2. lmao that third pitch to Frazier looks half a foot inside on pitch trax.
  3. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:30 PM) Quintana is not as hard luck as everyone likes to make him out to be. He often causes these problems himself. He's not a perfect pitcher, no pitcher is. He'll get in trouble here and there, but the problem is that our offense usually doesn't give him big enough leads (or leads at all) to give him a cushion for mistakes.
  4. Q almost prevented them from scoring there. Nice job after the leadoff walk and the bad pitch to Plouffe.
  5. QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 04:24 PM) Made 'em pay for that E. Jackson should have never come up to the plate. Dozier made a bad decision by throwing home instead of trying to double up Navarro. I'm pretty sure I can run faster than Dioner.
  6. And WTF is Eaton doing swinging at the first pitch every time?
  7. It's not a grand slam, but I'll definitely take it. Jackson's been absolutely drilling the ball and he should have a few HRs by now if it wasn't for some obscure luck.
  8. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 06:20 AM) How many hours did it take to beat and how good was it? I'd say it took like 10 hours? I wasn't counting. But I really liked the game. The game's mechanics are just OK. The time warping powers you get are cool at first, but you pretty much get all of them near the start, so by the end of the game, the combat isn't as cool, just more difficult. The story is what's great about this game. The alternate stories you can create with your choices at junctions, the whole time traveling aspect, and the 20 minute live action TV episodes in between acts are all really cool. At the very least, go rent it at Red Box or something. I'll play through it again with different choices to see if I get different things.
  9. I finished Quantum Break in one weekend...there's some replay value, but I'm glad I didn't get it on digital.
  10. Has anyone seen The Night Manager yet? It'll be on AMC in a week, but it's already been finished in the UK. I just finished it and it was definitely a worthwhile watch.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) Making the lineup: Jackson Eaton Abreu Frazier Cabrera Garcia Lawrie Rollins///Navarro Avila///Rollins Why? Well, I think Jackson has looked great so far, especially today in the leadoff spot. He has a great approach, and if today's game was played under normal weather conditions, Jackson would easily have 2-3 home runs. Moving Eaton to second gives us a .290-.300 hitter with a high OBP and some decent pop (14 HRs in 2015) in the #2 spot. They both get on base well, which would provide for more RBI opportunities for Abreu/Frazier, in theory. I'm willing to bet that Jackson finishes 2016 with a higher OBP than Rollins, so Rollins in the 2 spot makes the 1-2 collective OBP worse than what it would be with Jackson batting there, and moving Rollins down could end up being beneficial in its own way. Bottom line, it would give Abreu and Frazier more RBI opportunities. Thoughts? With how poor some of Rollins' at bats are, I would agree with this. Eaton is one of our best hitters, hitting him second is hugely beneficial. Jackson's approach this year has been great. Very patient, gets the pitcher into deep counts. He looks like he has some issues catching up to good movement and velocity though.
  12. That'll guarantee a winning week.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:51 PM) Albers is in the zone. En fuego. He's feelin' it. Great movement + 94 MPH is nearly unhittable.
  14. QUOTE (RaySox @ Apr 9, 2016 -> 03:47 PM) I'm really enjoying Stone and Benetti Benetti is a breath of fresh air. I heard him mention WAR and batted ball velocity today. Hawk would never bring any of that up.
  15. AJax showing the warning track pop a few times today.
  16. And can we stop throwing Duke out when we're up by 4 for one batter? It's pointless.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 8, 2016 -> 05:18 PM) He most likely won't ever be the same again. Bummer. I hate the Cubs, but it sucks to see him get injured. It's not like his game is based on speed... He'll still hit, but they're going to have a really hard time finding a position for him. He was already bad in left field, but he probably can't play outfield ever again. It's hard to put a guy who just had a devastating knee injury back at catcher anytime soon. He might have to convert to 1B or 3B.
  18. I know nobody cares about my fantasy team, but I had Schwarber as my catcher. Good thing the Cubs signed Fowler eh?
  19. OVA! 3-1 is a good start to the year. Easily could have been 4-0 or 2-2 though.
  20. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:31 PM) Surprised Hendriks hasn't been pulled yet, but their bullpen has pitched a lot this series. He's out there until he gets the third out.
  21. I thought Jose was going to hit that ball off the wall.
  22. Hitting is contagious. Even the guys who were struggling are teeing off.
  23. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:27 PM) Eaton is on fire. He must be a double agent because he's playing like he hates Drake Laroche. He's trying his hardest to avenge the loss of Drake.
  24. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 7, 2016 -> 05:26 PM) I feel like if we had the same roster we had last year, we'd leave Oakland 1-3 as opposed to 3-1. Considering Frazier and Rollins basically won us the second game, yeah.
