  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 01:37 PM) OMG BULLS TRADE FOR AFLLALOLOL It wouldn't surprise me.
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 01:33 PM) God damn I'm going not going to last this. This will end up killing me. I have this gut feeling that nothing will happen or we'll end up with bread crumbs. It's just the Bulls way.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2014 -> 01:06 PM) David Schuster 16 mins · Sources out of NY say that Phil Jackson is now ready to sign and trade Carmello Anthony, with the Bulls the front runner as a trade partner. Stay tuned He also says Boozer is in the deal as of right now. It's early though...the draft is next week and free agency doesn't start until July 1st.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 12:02 PM) I saw this all over my Facebook the past couple days and people complaining about it (live in the St. Louis area). I just now watched it and I don't see a problem with it.. They said Molina was a great catcher but they are just supporting their guy and they think he is better.. I can't stand the Cardinals fan base and the whole "we are the best fans in baseball" stuff they do. It's not like the Brewers aren't endorsing a better option... Molina's been decent this year, but Lucroy's got a .940 OPS and he's a catcher.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) 10 GS, 2.52 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, 64.1 IP, 12 K/9, 1.1 BB/9, 10.75 K/BB (which may be the best ever). He's had 1 bad start. Saying he's been erratic is like saying Chris Sale has been erratic. I mean, I just don't understand how you can say he's been erratic even compared to previous years. He's been dialed all year long. He had one start where he gave up 7 runs in 1.2 innings. I think that's what he meant by erratic, which I don't exactly agree with. But I can see where he's coming from.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 03:55 PM) So what do we think the reason for that is? Suarez obviously not struggling so far. There's always stars from club play that do thrive, but we're talking about two of the best players in this generation in Messi and Ronaldo that haven't exactly fulfilled expectations in World Cup play. As TheTruth05 said, it probably has to do with their teams. Ronaldo and Messi play on two of the most stacked club teams in the world. Their club teams are definitely better than their national teams. Plus, when you're as big as Ronaldo and Messi and you're going to be the target for both your opposition and your home country. Ronaldo is in a less enviable position than Messi since Argentina has better talent surrounding Messi. So whatever goes wrong probably goes on your shoulders, especially if you don't play well. It's a bigger stage and there's a lot more pressure to perform. I really wish baseball could have something similar to the World Cup. The World Baseball Classic is a joke. It's clear that the guys who participate care more about their ML career than their home country. I feel like it's almost the exact opposite in the World Cup.
  7. Suarez has made a huge difference for Uruguay.
  8. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 03:33 PM) Feel kinda bad for the dude, I mean, he's the main face and leader of this England squad but they haven't had a true cup contending team around him in almost every WC he's been to. I guess it comes with the role, you're supposed to be the best player on the squad now prove it no matter what. Easier said than done. A lot of the superstars of this generation have been ineffective in the world cup. Messi and Ronaldo average around one goal a game in club play, but they have like 4 WC goals combined between the two of them.
  9. 5 minutes after I say Rooney can't score...he does...finally.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 02:51 PM) Baines got beat...he's too much of an attacking player for that position. Almost starting to feel sorry for Rooney. He had a near-miss on both a free kick and also hit both crossbars (in the corner) on a header off a corner kick. Entertaining game, desperate battle for survival on both sides. He's just not meant to score in the World Cup.
  11. Would have been a perfect game if Hanley didn't make that bad throw.
  12. Good recovery after losing 4 in a row.
  13. I thought this game was over in the 7th. Guess not.
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 10:15 AM) Bill Simmons tweeting that the Celts are in the lead to land Love with the Warriors not wanting to rid K. Thompson and Bulls focusing on Melo. And the race to end up with neither begins. Why would Love want to go to Boston...?
  15. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 10:15 PM) It's not so much that he's bad (he's not) as much as he's talked about by Bulls fans like he's a tick below Paul George (who was also badly overrated at the start of last season because of excess playoff hype). And the moronic "I don't want Melo if we have to give up Butler" type comments. but but but DEFENSE I get so tired of talking about the Bulls defense too, when the offense is so bad... it reminds me of all those one-dimensional Lovie teams Yeah, those comments annoy me too. When you can get a superstar in the NBA, you go out and get him. You worry about the details like chemistry later.
  16. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 08:12 PM) Jimmy Butler is the most overrated Bulls player probably in franchise history. There, I said it. I wouldn't say 7 win shares in each of the past two seasons is bad. He'll never be Kawhi Leonard, but he's definitely a good role player you can stick at the 2 or 3 and have him defend just about anyone. BTW, his 7.1 win shares last year was 41st in all of basketball (5th among SGs). Just ahead of Kyrie Irving. Butler also had a higher WS/48 than Irving.
  17. I wasn't able to watch the game, but I sure wish I did. Jozy just can't catch a break. Hopefully, Dempsey's nose isn't too broken.
  18. RIP Tony. One of the most consistent hitters in baseball history. Looking over his stats, he's never had a wRC+ under 100 in ANY season. That's incredible. He hit over .300 in every season but his first, where he only played 54 games and hit .289.
  19. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Messi seemed a little off, maybe trying to do too much with all the pressure on his shoulders. Wouldnt call him terrible. He was also triple teamed once he got near the box.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 09:17 AM) If they did that, it would be a incredibly wrong and misguided assumption on their part. The Spurs roster is so much better than the Bulls it isnt even funny. According to our favorite Cowley, the front office is going to go balls to the wall to make this roster better for next season Unfortunately, for them, that's signing Kevin Martin.
  21. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 12:06 AM) LOL. Chris Bosh would be a 20 PPG scorer with excellent efficiency on just about any other team. He also won't kill you defensively at the 4.
  22. QUOTE (almagest @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 11:47 PM) I'm guessing he and Wade will push hard for Carmelo. Bosh is probably the odd man out. I'd love to have Bosh in a Bulls uniform as a plan C to Love and Melo.
  23. From down 16 to up 7. Only the Spurs.
  24. Mills out-flops D-Wade!
