  1. The guy I'm playing has Chris Johnson as his last player and he was up by 10. So far, Johnson has -.8 points. I just need Rivers and the Houston D to score 15 points.
  2. Tillman with two touchdowns in two games.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 7, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) The Bears 3rd down defense has been brutal... Seriously. Offense hasn't been good either. They get just far enough to not be in field goal range.

  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 6, 2012 -> 02:23 AM) The headphone jack is on the BOTTOM. *Mind blown!
  6. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 6, 2012 -> 02:07 AM) C'mon now, advertising new headphones as some sort of amazing new phone feature is WAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more gimmicky than NFC... lol this is very true.
  7. http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/06/workers...factory-strike/ .02 mm? Seriously? These workers are getting paid $10 a day (about 70 RMB) and now they're forced to look for .02 mm defects? A 2000 RMB per month wage is considered just about average in China, but there are people who sit on their asses and do nothing while making twice that (in China, not here). Part of the problem is how China goes about where people can work, as companies like Foxxconn are simply taking advantage of younger people from rural areas without much of a choice (either stay home and do nothing or hope to get somewhere by working low-end jobs in the city). But if Apple and Foxxconn had any kind of human compassion, they'd at least give these workers living quarters that don't smell like crap and adequate time to rest (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57510975-37/undercover-reporter-details-work-at-foxconns-iphone-plant/). Before the Apple lovers in this thread point out that a lot of other companies use Foxxconn as a means to manufacturer their electronics...when was the last time you heard Toshiba or HP tell Foxxconn and its workers to look for .02 mm defects? When was the last time Foxxconn workers rioted because they couldn't take the pressure from overproducing Toshiba laptops? Yeah...those things never happened and they probably never will. Give these workers better conditions. Pay them slightly better. Does Apple really need an extra $10 per device that could be used towards making these workers happier and more productive?
  8. Just realized this: McLouth looks like that guy from the Hunger Games movie.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 09:29 PM) Hamilton is getting booed at home He's part of the reason why they're even playing this game. Plus he's seen something like 5 pitches all game.
  10. QUOTE (SexiAlexei @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) No, if you want a full series, win the division. I feel like it should be at least a best of 3 series.
  11. Cards win! lol the Cards aren't celebrating on the field.
  12. So I guess Braves fans can't b**** that much now. They got the call on the Chipper play. Craig got his foot back.
  13. I don't see how that is an infield fly.
  14. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) I think once the rosters expanded he had too many toys to work with Guys like Omogrosso and Veal did pretty well. Robin had some serious brainfarts (especially against the Tigers other than the makeup game) though.
  15. Take it for what it's worth, but the White Sox' Pythagorean W-L is 88-74 this year. The Tigers? 87-75. I think the last 3 games in Cleveland definitely helped the Sox' expected W-L, but this probably shows that Ventura didn't have the best of times managing close games. I think most of us can all agree on that.
  16. How the hell did Chris Davis hit 33 home runs? He's the O's second best offensive player.
  17. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 12:03 PM) I have a tablet and want to get that on there. How'd you do it? If it's an Android tablet, there are a bunch of emulators on the Play Store. I'm not sure which one is actually good since I don't use an NES emulator (GBA FTW), but they will definitely be playable. Although you will need to find one that is compatible with tablets. If it's on iPad, you need to jailbreak and get it through Cydia. I'm not sure if they have a tablet mode one though. You might have to play it at an iPhone's resolution.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) You guys need to please erase your disdain for Ozzeroo a moment to hear me out. Olney's scoop proves Oz is out of a job. Ozzie is without a team (KC should hire him TOMORROW but that's a different topic). However I want to make a point about the whole issue. This whole thing is a microcosm of society. What Ozzie did a few weeks ago was anger a rich man, a man who has a bunch of yes men around him. This rich man (Loria) was called out (sort of) by Ozzie. Ozzie said something like, 'Why do they have so many managers that have been fired?' Or something like 'Why has he had so many managers?' When the rich f***, Loria, read those statements, that was it for Ozzie. This tells us a lot about Loria. By god, NOBODY in that man's life talks down to him; nobody in Loria's life can get away with calling him out publicly. Case closed. Ozzie said something about Loria and that is that. Oz was gone on that day. It just obviously INFURIATED Loria. Now the question is: Is Oz smart as a Fox? Did he do it to get 3 years salary for no work? Realizing that Loria is a buffoon and working for him is something you do not want to do? Or did Ozzie get caught being Ozzie again? If you hear the interview it is totally obvious Loria is overreacting. But Loria is acting like the spoiled rich boy he is. Wow! An underling like Ozzie called him out; bye bye. This is a lesson for all of us in real life. You call out your 'boss' and you are GONE! The difference here, Mr. Loria, is Ozzie is also rich. And he's a former spoiled ballplayer. Mr. Loria, if you want a yes man, butt kisser then you better hire somebody who needs the job. Ozzie never said anything bad about Jerry cause Jerry was like his second dad. The joke is on Ozzie and Loria both. Cause Loria is now the new Steinbrenner. He goes through another manager?? Wow. Or is Ozzie laughing all the way to the bank? Did Ozzie do this for the quick cash? I'd think probably not; he probably likes going to the ballpark every day ... but going to the park and having to talk to Loria and his yes-men including his adopted son??? I dunno, folks. Ozzie may be smarter than we all think.... Oh god, I would love for KC to hire Ozzie. That means we'd finally be able to beat them.
  19. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 5, 2012 -> 01:13 AM) I'm not talking against NFC in general, but sharing photos or something is ridiculously easy via a text message as is. It just doesn't seem like a major selling factor for a phone yet I see it in commercials. I did see one of those Samsung commercials where a group of people pulled a stranger over to take photos for them. All of them wanted the photo, so the stranger ended up taking like 10 pictures, each with a different phone. Then 10 feet away, you had a group of people with Galaxy S IIIs and they just took one photo and shared it to each other instantly. Sharing to everyone around you definitely is easier than emailing/MMSing the picture to everyone, but you're right, it's not a major selling point.
  20. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 11:45 PM) Does that do anything for anyone? Not only do you need the scenario to actually use it, but you also need someone that has the same phone/OS. I never understood why phones advertise that. I've used bump with my iphone a couple times and once I got past the neatness of it I kind of thought it was dumb. I use my phone and Google Wallet to pay for drinks/food at vending machines once in a while. If I had a car and bought gas all the time, I can also think of a good use for it. NFC hasn't really taken off yet. As for sharing stuff by touching phones, I've done that a few times before. You need to know a person who has such a phone first (not too easy). But it's pretty convenient. I needed a friend of mine to test something on his phone at work. I found him, tapped phones while my phone was running said application, bam, he got directed to the Play Store where he downloaded the app in a few seconds. He was on his way out too, so that saved him some time as opposed to looking the application up in the Play Store, etc.
  21. Hixon or Steven Jackson for flex? I really should have drafted AP or MJD instead of Jackson.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) Dan Johnson had some very good PAs with the Sox. He made pitchers work and usually ended up on base. I don't see why you wouldn't have him stick around and battle for a roster spot next spring.
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 3, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) I have to admit, this one has been a huge surprise to me. I honestly didn't even bat an eye when he went over to the Houston org, I didn't think he was a major league pitcher. He just didn't look like he had the stuff. Obviously I was way wrong on him. His stuff got way better in Houston. He's throwing 93-94 regularly with good sink.
