QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 12:38 PM) Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 4h ESPN sources say that the player referred to in the initial Hawks' background report that triggered the ensuing investigation was Luol Deng He's got some African in him? What's that even supposed to mean?

Ray Rice Cut and Suspended Indefinitely
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 01:29 PM) Wow, what an overreaction. But I don't feel bad for the guy. They have to pay out the remainder of his contract right? It's only an overreaction because they did it 4 months after the initial incident and after the video came out. I'd say he deserved to get cut to begin with.

Ray Rice Cut and Suspended Indefinitely
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 01:22 PM) Rice got cut Wow. I guess that's an appropriate response. But if they truly cared about this issue so much, this should have been the case months ago. People knew he hit his wife and knocked her out. Getting the visual is much different than just hearing about it, but I think most people knew the gist.

Ray Rice Cut and Suspended Indefinitely
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 01:04 PM) Listen, I get the point, but it's a moronic one. He (and others) are saying that while typing on computers/phones that are manufactured by poor children. Wetzel et al. clearly hate all children. Child labor isn't really an issue in the tech industry, it's more of putting workers in horrible conditions and over-working the hell out of them.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 10:13 AM) Well if the bulls are said to be interested, that sounds like a pretty good signal he'll sign elsewhere. Ray Allen would probably start on the Bulls and get 25-30 minutes a game. I'm not sure he'd get anywhere close to that in Cleveland. Maybe he wants that, maybe he doesn't. I don't know. All I know is that I'd love to have Ray Allen on the Bulls.

I got screwed by Charles and Stacy yesterday. 11 points combined... I would have won if they had given me the 30 that were projected. Also got Julius'd in my money league yesterday, but I was probably going to lose anyhow.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 08:15 AM) Kansas City could not have had a worse start. They looked awful, they refused to give Jamaal Charles the ball (7 carries, 4 targets) and played completely flat and uninspired. Oh, and they also lost their pro bowl MLB to a ruptured achilles in the 2nd quarter and then their starting NT to the same injury about 10 snaps later. This is gonna be a long season. Hopefully they suck enough to draft high enough to take Winston or Mariotta in the 2015 draft. Seriously, screw Andy Reid for ignoring Jamaal. They deserved to lose the way they did. Instead of giving to to a guy who ran for 1500 yards last year, they let their game-manager QB throw 3 picks.

Ray Rice Cut and Suspended Indefinitely
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 08:20 AM) Awful new video of what Ray Rice actually did in the elevator leaked today. Disclaimer: It's brutal. He needs to be suspended for a lot longer after witnessing this http://m.tmz.com/videos/0-ekaflcqq/ Talk about getting knocked out...Jesus. Yeah, he should be suspended for a longer period than 2 games, at least that times 4.

QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 09:45 AM) Fullback? Do you have it set on 1990's mode? Get with the times man. I run out of the I-form a lot. Good play action, plus you get a blocker up the middle on runs. It's great for grinding out the clock in MUT.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 10:12 PM) I dont think people are shocked to see him have a big game in week 1. However last season after week 11 he didnt have a single game with either over 100 yards or multiple tds. In the fantasy championship week he had 70 yards and 0 tds. I had him last year in a league and needed 5 points from him on MNF vs the Saints in week 13 to win and he ended with 4 points. He was fine in the playoffs (actual playoffs), averaged around 5 YPC and had 2 100 yard games with 4 TDs. I think that more or less proved to me that he's not running out of gas yet.

Even with a pretty bad showing by GB's offense, Cobb and Nelson both have around 10 points so far. Can't complain.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) I love me some Skittles. And some people thought he'd break down this year... Still possible, but he's got a great o-line blocking for him and he's pretty damn awesome.

QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 09:25 PM) I already feel sick to my stomach watching Harvin get all these touches. I dropped him down my rankings because of the injury concerns but damn, the guy is going to beast if he stays healthy. PPR monster with big play ability. That's scary.

QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 09:40 AM) Thats because Madden 25 wasnt that great. Madden 15 is awesome though, you should try that. Except for those times your own blockers get in your way. I had a screen play yesterday result in a fumble because Tony Fiametta thought it'd be a good idea to run into Jay Cutler while he was throwing the screen. It's like the AI thinks they can use your own players to play defense. Not to mention the numerous times where the FB would block a hole I was going to run through up the middle, resulting in at least 4-5 less yards. Other than that, good game so far.

Flowers and his magic glasses
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 02:25 PM) Also, the skillset is one that should age well. Elite defender with improving plate discipline? I'll take it. Even if his bat declines to Flowers levels, he'll be a plus gamecaller until he retires. Him in the 2 spot would be pretty awesome. You can then have two guys who get on at around 36-37% of the time in front of Abreu.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 01:09 PM) It's become my biggest sports pet peeve. I don't get how Jeffery is so damn hard to say/write. It's not a common last name. Jefferies is a lot more common.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 01:07 PM) Wright in a ppr could be a monster. So we did a live draft for one of my leagues on Monday and you had to write your picks on the draft board and the person who took Alshon wrote "Jeffries." I wanted to kick said person in the face. In PPR, Wright > Floyd since Wright caught almost 100 balls last year. Floyd has big play ability though and the higher ceiling.
