  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 21, 2012 -> 09:53 AM) My wife has a Kindle Fire. It's a pain in the ass, so buggy. She's on her 2nd one already (only had the thing 5 months). I have the Nook Tablet, and it is 10x more reliable (and has the bonus microSD card slot). Screw the Fire OS crap, flash that s*** to 4.0. AOKP FTW. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614004
  2. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 21, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) Dan Johnson is good for ghost riding Volvo's and hitting random clutch HRs against the Red Sox. Wasn't there a video of two kids ghost riding for Dan Johnson or some s***? lol
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 21, 2012 -> 07:14 AM) I wish this was followed by "Cleve;and Indians fans call out Chris Perez on being a douchebag, team sucking." It'll come soon enough. The Indians started out 30-15 last year or something and look where they ended up.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2012 -> 08:28 AM) @JoeStrauss: Early diagnosis is that Berkman did suffer torn ACL in R knee Saturday. Monday MRI to confirm. Both he and Craig will be on the DL now. Sucks for the Cardinals. Good thing they have a whole ton of depth though.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) Maybe he and Paulie will flip flop. Nah, Paulie is too established at first, but he definitely can give Paulie a rest two games a week maybe. It's not like Dunn is hitting poorly as a DH. A .896 OPS is still very good.
  6. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ May 20, 2012 -> 08:06 PM) It's based on runs scored vs. runs against, right? Someone has posted in other threads that we're the only team in the central with a positive run differential so you must be right, we must have the best Pythagorean in the division Yup and yup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythagorean_expectation
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2012 -> 07:52 PM) The average number of blown saves in the AL (for the entire bullpen) is 5. We have 7 now, tied with Toronto for first. We've lost 5 of those games. That's the kind of statistic that evens out, especially with Reed down there now...just like the Indians hadn't lost a single one-run game until this past weekend. So we can make legit arguments that we should be 22-20, 23-19 or maybe even 24-18. Tyler Flowers and Dayan Viciedo hit balls at the ends of those games that easily could have gone out, too...but, as the saying goes, you deserve the record you have. Considering we've gone through 3-4 different closers, no #2 hitter, and atrocious OPS numbers at 3B and SS, we're sitting in a pretty good position and only 2 1/2 games behind the Indians and ahead of the Tigers. That said, we've routinely beaten up on the Cubs in recent years, but that hasn't translated to beating the best teams in the AL East, the Rangers, Tigers, etc. Pythagorean W-L has us at 22-20 after today's game. If I'm not mistaken, that is the best in the division as well.
  8. Time for the Sox to get on a roll. We need to sweep Minnesota too. No excuses with how awful that team is.
  9. Indiana's bigs never got going. Hansbrough kept traveling on wide open looks at the basket. Hibbert was in foul trouble. West missed open shots. Haslem also got going. Kind of reminds me of game 2 of last year's ECF. Haslem came out of nowhere and provided a huge boost for the Heat.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:30 PM) Get ahead of somebody you moron Matt's getting old. He's losing control and velocity.
  11. Darwin Barney's got no power.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) How many pitches? Early hook? 102 pitches, it's not an early hook at all. I thought Jake should have been taken out after 6.
  13. Looks like that'll be it for Jake.
  14. Good to see the Sox put a pretty good hurting on Maholm.
  15. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) like dee gordon? lol hell no. I can still pick up somebody like Yunel Escobar to replace Alexei in my league.
  16. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) his numbers at the end of the year put him in the top 10. that's not drop-worthy. Not if you find a better replacement.
  17. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:07 PM) i love fantasy managers who drop good players based off 1 month. dude in a soxtalk league dropped Youkilis for Middlebrooks. Whoops. Just dumb. Alexei's not a great fantasy SS though. He's great when he's hot, but he's awful when he's not.
  18. T-Flow almost hit that one out.
  19. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) .... really? Dee Gordon's not worth anything in my league. SBs count for like 2 points, caught stealings are -3...
  20. Peavy at 92 pitches. Better get somebody up in the bullpen.
  21. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:57 PM) It appears I let go of Dayan at the wrong time. Still have Alexei though. Drop him now!
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) Um, Kosuke not showing off the bat today. Probably because he hasn't played in a week.
