  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:02 PM) My prediction is we're going to see Fields and a big prospect like Hudson sent to Baltimore for Sherrill, and it wouldn't surprise me if KW expands the deal to include someone like Scott or Huff. I would like that deal, but where would Scott or Huff play...?
  2. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:05 PM) thats a decent prediction. . i know baltamore has been interested in Fields in the past. . . Felix Pie!!!! That'll be something for the Dewayne Wise haters.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:48 PM) Great. Brian is already for the BoSox. ALWAYS CHECK TEH LINKS!!!!
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:41 PM) Is he going to buy Jenks an expensive bottle of Pepsi instead? Bobby needs some refreshing in his mind that he does indeed have a curveball. I think this is a good idea.
  5. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 06:25 PM) You mean...you are questioning THE GREG WALKER and his work with Josh Fields??? Though, I agree, we will sell him low and a REAL hitting coach will get Fields straightened out. It's not too hard to figure out why Josh Fields is late on just about every fastball he sees. I don't think it even requires a REAL hitting coach.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 05:53 PM) Wise stays again! It's because of his defense. I'm not all that mad knowing that defense has been one of the biggest problems on this team.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 02:19 PM) Was Kotsay in the big leagues for the Red Sox? So we'll need to clear a 25 man spot for him? Kotsay was DFA'd when the Red Sox got LaRoche.
  8. QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 02:10 PM) On any other team I would agree... but on the White Sox... Kotsay might be the best defensive OF we have now that Brian is gone. Even with his bad back, knees, etc. Kotsay's not the same guy he was 2-3 years ago on defense. He was terrible on D this year in the outfield.
  9. Late by two minutes...damn.
  10. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/07/red-...n-anderson.html Get the Farewell BA threads going. Could also mean the end of Wise.
  11. Okefor would be a nice addition for the Hornets. CP3 can make Okefor into something.
  12. Mark's been really bad against the Twins at the Metrodome these past couple of years. Let's hope that it ends tonight.
  13. Good ol' Juan Uribe. That was the game where we lost after going up 6-1.
  14. Forgot to add that on the ball Fields hit, Span broke all the way back to the wall and then ended up catching the ball right in front of the warning track. I don't think he misread it either. Something fishy.
  15. QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Jul 28, 2009 -> 10:26 AM) I'm glad I'm not the only one that had that run through their head last night. That ball looked gone off his bat, looked like he hit it on the screws. The ball flight looked like a 9 iron against the wind. Paranoia probably, but off his bat it looked like he made better contact than PK had on his homer. http://www.aem.umn.edu/outreach/Baseball_L...r/startrib1.pdf Read that. A former Metrodome superintendent admitted that he tried to manipulate the air flow of the Metrodome in the later innings. They still might be doing it today. Who knows?
  16. Is it just me or does every ump in the Metrodome screw us over numerous times? I hate how the Twins always play no doubles defense. Works against us almost every time because when we hit it hard, it's always at the warning track. Good to see Carlos kill the ball tonight. But Paulie couldn't pick a boulder out of the dirt tonight.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 05:15 PM) Cabrera would be a big upgrade for them, and it is his time of year. Plus you know he would love to stick it to the Sox. Let's just hope this trade doesn't go down during this series.
  18. Joe Mauer isn't too happy about the Twins not doing much. Apparently, Smith doesn't even want to give up some prospects and spend a million on Orlando Cabrera. But then again, who would?
  19. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 04:32 PM) You know they play in a dome right? I was talking about their games against the Bears at Soldier Field. If you remember, Vick got his ass handed to him in that game back in 05 where it was like -10.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 03:12 PM) I thought Oakland was all about Vick? I swear I read somewhere that Al has his sites on Vick He'd fit in well there.
  21. Vick in Minnesota...hmm. If he's gonna be a p**** and dread the cold, then bring it on.
  22. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 11:26 AM) My thing about Bartman is how do his actions, which had minimal impact on the game at best, explain the 8 runs that followed? And the loss in Game 7? These things are completely glossed over every time. Had the Cubs not made such a big deal out of it in the first place, they probably wouldn't have lost that game. Alou even admitted later that he couldn't of caught that ball. It definitely took the Cubs' focus out of the game. That's their fault.
  23. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jul 27, 2009 -> 09:04 AM) Saturday... Jackson: ND, 7 innings, 8 hits, 3 runs (earned), 4 walks, 3 strikeouts, 1 home run. ERA up to 2.59 Lack of strikeouts really hurt Buehrle's CyP. He's got a better ERA+ than both Beckett and Weaver and he still doesn't have a CyP rating.
  24. I'm glad Bedard got injured. Finally dropped him in fantasy. It felt really good.
