  1. Just look at what happened today. They got on base and hit Freeland hard for about the first 5 innings but couldn't get any runs cause they kept choking with guys on. If you turn those hard hit singles and doubles into homers they score at least a few off him.
  2. Eloy has been worth 2 WAR despite playing 60 games this year and most of it at DH. He has value. He just needs to stay healthy cause he's a .900+ OPS bat if he can stay on the field.
  3. That's the one thing the Sox did really well last year. They beat the s%*# out of bad starters early and often. No such thing this year.
  4. Of the recently fired ones I'd only be interested in Maddon but I'd doubt the Sox would want anything to do with him given how vocal he was about how poorly run the Angles were. I feel like the Sox are in a similar spot.
  5. Yoan is only 27. If he actually gets healthy and trains well this off-season he has a chance to be good again. Almost all those guys you listed are expensive and past their prime. I wouldn't give up on him yet but if he shows up in ST and hits .150 again we're gonna be in for a long next 2 seasons.
  6. Corbin is bad cause he just sucks now. He was bad before the sticky ban. He basically turned into a BP machine after 2019.
  7. I got nothing against Cairo, but they need to do a real managerial search this time around. Maybe playing better in the last 2 weeks gives the team some sense of direction, but the FO and managerial staff shouldn't be free from consequences for blowing this season so badly.
  8. Offense since TLR has been back in the building: 7 runs in 3 games.
  9. Once they lose tomorrow it's definitely over.
  10. Abreu still doesn't have a hit with the bases loaded this year.
  11. Smart to turn Moncada around. Yoan sucks left handed.
  12. He's better defensively than Pollock and Engel so there is that.
  13. Freeland found his stuff. Sox missed their chance to score off him.
  14. Without the shift next year he might be better.
  15. Cause he wasn't confident in his sinker command.
  16. Kelly's peripherals are actually pretty good. He's been a combination of unlucky and bad because he has no control. If he's healthy next year, I can see him rebounding.
  17. Kelly is only good when he can command his sinker. You just gotta hope and pray that he's healthier next year cause he's getting $8 million next year regardless.
  18. I think it's a matter of framing when you're looking at a sample this big. Some umps just suck. The Sox were next to last in favor last year cause Zach Collins was the worst framer in baseball. With him gone, we instantly jumped up the favor list.
  19. He's robbing our hitters of favorable counts on pitches that are barely competitive. He didn't call a pitch from Cease that he's been giving Freeland that resulted in 2 runs scoring. At worst, this is a 1 run game right now if he just called a fair game. I don't have a problem with umpires giving big zones, but you have to give it to both teams.
  20. Pollock with one of his worst games of the year.
  21. They probably win this one with a different umpire.
