  1. That exit velo is up there with Cruz and Judge.
  2. Toronto's backup catcher has to be our MVP so far this series.
  3. It just keeps getting better for the Bulls. Jaden Ivey got cut for his anti-LGBTQ comments.
  4. New bullpen same old s%*#.
  5. Oh Christ...
  6. Getz needs to stop trading for left handed reliever with Boston
  7. Getz thought he was a switch hitter too.
  8. Illini back in the final 4. It's only been 21 years.
  9. Houston really couldn't hit the broad side of a barn for about 90% of the game.
  10. Thanks for proving that we definitely need ABS. And like football, all ABS challenges in the final 2-3 innings should be up to a video assistant umpire. Teams shouldn't get jobbed to decide a game just because they ran out of challenges.
  11. What's the saying? Hire a clown, expect a circus?
  12. Wasn't he gonna do that regardless of his WBC performance? If we didn't have Meidroth, I'd consider letting him start the year on the big league team.
  13. How? They just beat Mexico. They'd only lose out if all 3 teams are tied at 3-1 right?
  14. Matt Ryan has never worked in a front office before this. Maybe he has input on big moves, but Cunningham is clearly running that front office's day to day operations. Matt Ryan has actually said that himself.
  15. It sucks they couldn't go get someone like Decker at LT. He's probably too expensive for the cap space that is available. I am a big fan of the Bush signing. He's been great the last 2 years in Cleveland. Great run defender and good in coverage. He also adds a lot of speed to the LB corps, which is something we were badly missing last season. Seeing the deals that other ILBs signed, we got a great deal on Bush as well. I'm not sure about Coby Bryant. He played on a loaded defense last year, but he's graded out decently the past 2 seasons in Seattle. I know Byard is old and can fall off at a moment's notice, but I think I would have preferred to retain him at a lower price than spending $13 million a year on a younger, but less proven free safety. No splash moves this year kind of sucks compared to the 3 previous years, but that's just the reality of the NFL and the cap. But the moves give a pretty clear picture or what they'll target early in the draft: EDGE, DI, safety, and OT are probably the 4 biggest needs on the team.
  16. Franklin was the 2nd worst inside line backer in the NFL last year according to PFF, with a grade of 38.4.
  17. Tyler Higbee got 2 years and $8 million to re-sign with the Rams. You can probably replace Kmet at half his cap hit if you really wanted to.
  18. Yeah, they have $10 million to replace Dalman. Linderbaum is gonna cost around $20 million a year on the open market. Biadasz would be a cheaper short term solution.
  19. Mune's already in form for the WBC. Can't wait to watch him in that tournament.
  20. I think you mean Edmunds. Cutting him frees up 15 million. Cutting Edwards gets you almost no extra cap space. If we're going to trade for Crosby, trading DJ makes a ton of sense. I think the most I'd consider is the 2026 1st, 2027 2nd, and Moore. Crosby is not the player Parsons is.
  21. Yeah I'd actually rather have Fedde than give Civale $6 million.
  22. They spent the Fairbanks money on Martinez.
  23. I think the general consensus was that Maye played terribly for most of the playoffs and got carried by their defense. The Patriots defense didn't give up more than 16 points in any of their AFC playoff games. Whereas while Caleb did not play well for large portions of his playoff games, he put the Bears in a position to win. You could argue they won against the Packers because of him. I don't think you can say the same for Maye.
  24. Maye was 1 first place vote away from winning MVP just 4 days ago. Now he's getting piled on for having one of the worst Super Bowl performances of all time. Life comes at you fast. It sucks for him since he had a great year, schedule or not. The Patriots were also just ahead of schedule, much like the Bears. But just like the Bears, there's no guarantee they'll be back in this same spot next year. Their schedule gets much more difficult. But they also have a lot of cap space to improve their talent level. I thought they straight up did not have the talent to match up with the Seahawks, which makes sense for a team that was ahead of schedule and won 4 games last year.
  25. Does this take them out of the Canning sweepstakes?
