  1. I also don't think Manaea is a great guy to run out in the playoffs. He's probably the 4th guy in the rotation. Not worth selling what little we have in the farm for that.
  2. The Mets got a great deal for Bassitt. Now the A's got all these teams lining up over 2 SPs cause there aren't any left.
  3. You must have missed the conversation in the morning.
  4. But Ramon Laureano might.
  5. Giolito, Grandal, Cease, Hendriks. They might as well be a White Sox hype account.
  6. Mike seems more trustworthy. He doesn't tweet every single rumor he comes across like Hector does.
  7. Remember when the A's were too scared to start Manaea against us in the playoffs in 2020 and started Mike Fiers instead? Fun times.
  8. I wonder if anyone on this board is one of those sources.
  9. That guy broke the Baez deal, apparently.
  10. I wonder how much cash they got. Either way, the Reds make no sense. Miley is better than Minor and they let him go for free to save a few $. Now they trade for a lesser pitcher making the same $.
  11. Dickerson only got $1 million.
  12. About as legit as Cishek.
  13. Eh, I wouldn't say Machado has been worth every penny, but Harper has. The thing with these mega deals is that the players need to produce a lot at the start so they can off-set the losses towards the end of the deal. If Machado isn't putting up 5-6 WAR every year for you until he's 30-31, it's hard to recoup a lot of that value in the later parts of the deal. So far Machado's had 2 really great months, one decent season, and one subpar season.
  14. IIRC, Keuchel looked like he had a splotch of pine tar on his neck during that Cubs start where he got shelled. If it was the sticky stuff that was the problem, then pine tar really didn't help him. Maybe he really needs spider tack back.
  15. BOTH? I don't know if I buy that.
  16. Also, if it's between Joc and Meadows, I'd pick Meadows every time. Meadows would also help us get rid of Kimbrel.
  17. He's not great, but he's not any worse than the FA options and our in-house options. He's also a much better bet to give you 30 homers and a wRC+ above 110.
  18. I feel like those guys are probably doing what we're doing...thinking the Sox need to shore up RF so they have to be looking at OF help.
  19. Meadows isn't a super high surplus value guy, even with that many years of control. Kimbrel and $6-7 million in cash should be enough to get him.
  20. Yeah, but when both parties are trying to dump the players in the trade, it should work out.
  21. Tampa did want Kimbrel last year. Meadows for Kimbrel and some money.
  22. Any lineup where Eloy ends up batting 7th is one of the best in baseball. That's why I wanted Conforto. He gives the lineup balance and depth.
  23. That's the White Sox in a nutshell.
