They actually won that game, but walking Pujols almost resulted in Jose Iglesias hitting a go-ahead double off Liam Hendriks. IIRC, Tony wanted to walk Pujols because it would allow him to bring in Hendriks since Marshall had not yet faced 3 batters. Pujols was the 3rd batter, so that allowed him to bring in Hendriks to face the next hitter. It worked out, but barely.

So when are we gonna get a players only meeting?

The 3 best relievers on the roster couldn't pitch today for whatever reason they won't reveal. Bummer hasn't pitched in 4 days, so it's not like he's been overused.

I thought the point of a manager is so he could take blame and attention off the players. Burger and Gio have both had to issue public statements saying "my bad" cause TLR embarrassed the team with his managerial decisions these past few days.

I can understand Graveman and Liam not being available, but what the hell is going on with Bummer that he hasn't pitched since Tuesday? The 10th inning would have been a perfect time to use him with 2 lefties in the first 3 hitters. Liam not being available is also because TLR didn't want to use Jimmy Lambert in a 5 run game last night. He used him in a tie game for almost 3 innings today.

Davis Martin pitched better than him somehow. There's gotta be something wrong with Gio. He's hanging sliders for bombs every start.

I'm not sure what Robert's supposed to be good at with his current approach at the plate. He can't hit anything away hard. He's clearly late on stuff that's inside. Is he only supposed to be able to hit middle middle hangers?

I'm not able to watch this game cause it's blacked out for me...this was pretty loud.

It'll probably happen. One of the only positives of the TLR hire was that Jerry was going to give his buddy financial backing to make sure he has enough relievers to win.

Is there a reason why this game is even scheduled at 1 PM? Aren't Saturday games usually at 6?

This team has been hovering around .500 all year despite having a terrible run differential and just look pretty bad all around. Could this be the game that breaks the camel's back and opens the floodgates? They were up 5-0 half way through and up 3 in the 6th. Just weird decisions all around regardless of who's available to pitch from the pen.

There needs to be questions about why Bummer hasn't pitched in almost a week and why he never got a chance to even pitch in this one.
