How the hell did we win? I don't know. But it happened. Some of the sloppiest and crappiest play I've watched, by both teams. US didn't know what build up play was. Terrible passes, terrible first touches, terrible misses on some sitters. Defense did its job and Mexico choked almost every chance they got. Acosta was probably the best player on the field and it showed on his assist on the goal. It feels pretty damn good to beat Mexico with a full MLS team, but that was probably the worst entertaining game I've watched in a while.

First he robs us of Escobar. Now he robs us of the division.

Lopez's stuff looked amazing today. He was hitting 97-98 and dotting it right on the corners against Ramirez and Reyes. If a relief role is going to make him useful, then by all means, keep him there. I think it would be beneficial for him to take over after Keuchel goes 2 times around the order. He basically takes Kopech's old role of throwing the 6th and 7th when the starter can't go that far.

I mean, if you only watched the 9th, sure. It's never fun to watch an offense struggle. Especially when you know it can be better.

I had no expectations for today, but we pitched our asses off. Offense is still god awful, but we really needed this win to take the wind out of Cleveland's sails after last night.
