  1. Defense kind of screwed Cease, but once again he's showing that he can't be relied upon against good offenses.
  2. Valdez is lefty and probably one of their best starters.
  3. Time for Dylan to prove he can pitch well against good offenses.
  4. I saw a tweet about the injury and thought it was about Adam Engel and not Adam Eaton. Safe to say I'm very relieved that I had a dyslexic moment.
  5. Not Steve Cishek basically deleted all the tweets about Escobar not being in the lineup. So he was probably just speculating.
  6. They have one more game tomorrow, too. They also scored 2 runs on a triple after having 2 outs and nobody on. Cleveland sure is pesky.
  7. Also, ZiPS RoS thinks Mendick will be a 96 wRC+ the rest of the way and Esocbar will be a 103 wRC+ player. ZiPS does seem high on Mendick, but Escobar really isn't that attractive of a target besides his ability to hit the long ball.
  8. Schwarber's RoS projections are right in line with Abreu's. Both are looking at about a 125 wRC+ the rest of the way. If you can add a left handed Abreu to your lineup, you do it.
  9. Starting next week, we play Pittsburgh, Seattle, Minnesota, Detroit, Minnesota, and Baltimore.
  10. The Orioles are doing their very best to keep Cleveland 4.5 games back. Jose Ramirez got caught in a rundown and ended up on 3rd cause nobody was covering 2nd or 3rd for the Orioles.
  11. I have no problem getting both, but I think we're much better off with Mendick getting the majority of the reps at 2B than dealing with Eaton in RF for the rest of the year.
  12. Schwarber makes way more sense than Escobar IMO. Escobar hits lefties better than righties, which isn't what this team really needs. Schwarber fits the lineup better and he can also play a passable corner OF, which Escobar can't do.
  13. He'll be back tomorrow and Leury filled in pretty well for him in these 3 games. No harm, no foul as long as he plays in the Houston series.
  14. Leury's hitting .538/.625/.692 for a 267 wRC+ with a .583 BABIP since the original post. If the purpose of this post was to get him to play better, it worked. Either that or you've angered the baseball gods and now they're blessing Leury with all the BABIP luck in the world.
  15. Tigers sweep the Royals, who are now 11.5 games back. The Tigers have the third most amount of sweeps in baseball this year and are 10 games under .500. Weird how that works huh.
  16. The HP ump really wanted the Rays to win this game. They gave the Rays about 4 inches off the outside corner all game against right handed hitters and we got almost none of those calls.
  17. Almost half way through hell week and we're 2-1. Go split with Houston and you can get through one of the toughest weeks of the year with a winning record. Feels good man. We don't play a winning team until after the all-star break after this upcoming Astros series.
  18. Probably 2008.
  19. This game reminded me of the Tigers game. Bullpen blew it and Yaz saved the day.
  20. After holding them to nothing with Marshall and Burr it sure seems like it.
  21. LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
  22. Asking Grandal to make contact here might be a lot to ask.
