BABIP gods decided to let us have all the hits today.

Pitchers still do.

Every time we actually score runs recently, the pitching leaks runs too. Basically ensures the bullpen can't have a day off.

Nice job by Hicks.

Will wanted him to get the win.

Take him out. Duran just kills us.

He's trying really hard to not get a win today. He shouldn't be facing Burger if he can't get Duran.

Only Kay can make a 7 run lead seem small.

Kay just has to make things interesting lol

Damn, so close.

I think they'll just let a position player pitch the top of the 9th

He has glaring holes in his game right now that I was honestly surprised didn't get exposed much earlier. Last year, pitchers were throwing him cutters and sliders middle/middle that he was crushing. Now he's getting nothing but high fastballs and low and in breaking pitches that he can't lay off of.

This doesn't include him taking a time out when he gets to 0-2, adjusting his gloves when he takes the time out, him swinging at a low curveball for strike 3, and then looking angry and depressed at the same time as he walks back to the dugout.

Any righty that throws a decent sweeper or curveball is just feasting off him.

Just when you thought he turned it around after that off day, he's been absolute s%*# the last 3 games.

Seems fine

Yup, struck out 10 against the Nationals. Prior few starts weren't good though.

Vargas keeps looking like he's getting hurt trying to tag people at 3rd.

He is an old man after all

So has Brazoban been pitching injured this whole time?

Yup, it's what makes fantasy football so appealing. You basically have one chance to set your lineup correctly. You can set your lineup everyday in most fantasy baseball leagues. And even if you do weekly lineups, players play 6 or 7 games a week, so it's not as consequential.

Chase and Colson not doing s%*# with the bases loaded seemed to right the ship for Rocker.

I actually think having as many games as baseball does turns off a lot of casual fans. So many times I've heard casuals or non baseball fans think that following for 162 is basically impossible. It also takes away the importance of individual games. Lose on a walk off? Go get 'em tomorrow. You gotta wait a week for that in the NFL or college football.

Well, this one is ovah.

The walk offs are fun, but no team can survive as many close games as we've played recently.
