Imo, now that DirecTv has worked out its dispute with Versus, that's a big plus for them. You have to pay for an extra sports tier to get Vs. on Dish.

So long as TCQ is playing right, I'll say Jermaine Dye. However, I really don't want him back, as much as I want to see Q moved back to LF, Jones take over in RF, and Pierre moved to the bench, or perhaps to 9th in order (has a DH ever batted last?). Q really looks uncomfortable in right, and he's such an intense headcase, I fear that its hurting his hitting.

I guess winning the President's Trophy is like trading for certain Cy Young winners--it makes you think great things are ahead, but all you really get is suck.

Who thinks Hossa's in trouble? Maybe its just the fan in me, but I thought Ovechkin's was worse (iirc, Campbell was turned completely around and Alex took more of a run, whereas Hossa took the Pred more from the side and from a shorter gap). Eddie O sure didn't do the Hawks any favors by making the comparison on national tv.

I'd never be asked to produce my "papers" because I'm WASPY, but as I understand this law, if I don't have my drivers' license on me, I'd be subject to arrest depending upon the good-faith belief of the police that I might be illegal. That makes me uncomfortable.

I used to be, but not so much anymore. I grew up in the 70's when the sport was huge, and fighters seemed to have personalities (love 'em or hate 'em) to match their skills. The heavyweight division has always driven my interest in other classes, and that's been absolutely dead of late. Plus, as much as I hated him, I have to admit that I miss the "Golden Boy," as I always enjoyed watching his fights, hoping that someone would pound the smile off his face. I'll never forget watching the 1990 Chavez-Taylor fight at an outdoor bar in Cancun. Taylor had his way with Chavez almost all night, until Richard Steele called the fight for Chavez with just two seconds to go. The natives went absolutely insane in their celebrations. Being in the middle of that was surreal. Oddly enough, the roommate of one of my friends on that trip is now married to the guy who runs Roy Jones, Jr.'s Square Ring productions. Sorry I can't add much of substance to your thread, but I'll probably lurk here a lot if it catches on.

We are a s***ty, last place team, with a s***ty, last place offense. We lost a lot of production when we let Thome and Dye walk (still the right calls), but did NOTHING to replace it.
