I dislike the Wave at "The Cell," but when I'm anywhere else I could probably care less (unless the Sox are visiting, of course). When I went to a Red Sox game, watching the drunk college kids was a good distraction from my uncomfortable seat that faced left field.

White fudge Oreos are the best but you can feel your pancreas going into overdrive after eating just one. After that, it's the regulars... The Bite Size Oreos are a pretty good "munchy" food, too.

I dunno, we signed Konerko to a big extension (nice move, KW). Should have let him walk after last year... What kind of a player does he think he is?
-
Feeling in both legs is in the job description of being an NBA basketball player. Sorry, it's sad, it's tragic... But Jay Williams will never suit up in the NBA again.
-
Since he still has problems with walks, I dunno... Not too much else in the cookie jar, though... The only guys I would really, REALLY classify as "untouchable" would be Honel, Borchard, Reed, Webster, Rauch, and maybe Cotts.

Wasn't Williams supposed to be out like 2 1/2 months ago? Internet rumors...

It's the only thing the Cubs fans can talk about Sox-related When your team is tanking and your archrival is exploding (don't lie, Cub fans... You'd take 1 win over the Sox over 1,000 wins over the Cardinals any day of the week), you tend to resort to stupid arguments and petty name-calling. Someone better get all the Cubs to put on their personal floation devices 'cuz they're sinking fast.

I don't care, I just think it's funny that all of the ants are coming out of the woodwork now that we're winning. I'd say roughly 80-90% of all Chicago baseball fans (if not all fans... Chicago sports fans are really bad, IMO) are pretty much just fair-weather fans (we haven't won nothing in 80+ years, I don't blame them if baseball ain't a passion)... As long as they favor the Sox, they're cool... Not that I'm calling anyone a fairweather fan, but a bandwagon jumping Sox fan is still a Sox fan.

There is nothing wrong with new members. Theyre welcome. Okay Mother Teresa. Jesus f***ing Christ, dude, get off your high horse.
-
They're probably just former lurkers who just decided to register. Who cares? The more Sox fans, the merrier.

U.S. Cellular Field is one of the nastiest outfields to play... I say give him a week and see if he shows any improvement... If not, package Lee and get yourself a center fielder and bump Everett to left.
-
That's what Dave Wills said on the postgame show on ESPN-1000... Said the "real attendance" was probably closer to 23,000-24,000. Who the f*** cares?
-
I'd still rather have Jimenez than f***ing Willie Harris.
-
I like Jose in the 2-hole because he would see a lot more pitches to hit (fastballs) with the protection of Frank, Maggs, Carl, and Caballo. Now, in the 6-spot his protection is Crede, Rowand, and Olivo... No s*** you don't pitch to a guy who's hit 25 homers every year for the last 3 years or so when you're next three hitters have a combined like .230 average.
-
Damn, whenever he arrives in Chicago he should bow down to Kenny and Jerry for springing him from Texas where the owners have bidding wars with themselves and spend millions of dollars on pitchers like Chan Ho Park.
-
Your designated hitter is batting .200?

I thought they could refuse assignment (a la Josh Paul), file for free agency and move on with their lives. Rios, for sure sounded like he doesn't plan on being in the organization any longer... Couldn't get a read on what was going through Jimenez's mind... If anything.
-
I'm more "down" on the Everett trade because I think the Sox needed a table-setter at the top of the lineup rather than another big bat. Being on a winning team and not mired in that baseball hellhole called the Texas Rangers should shut his ass up.
-
Who bats where? The best I can come up with is... 2B; Roberto Alomar SS; Jose Valentin 1B; Frank Thomas RF; Magglio Ordonez CF; Carl Everett LF; Carlos Lee DH; Brian Daubach 3B; Joe Crede C; Miguel Olivo/Sandy Alomar, Jr. Any other suggestions? Swapping Manos and Alomar would be the only other thing I can see happening... But this is JM.

"Get busy"... When is the last time you were at the park? Probably this year since that's the song they play when he steps up to the plate.
-
Illegal fireworks at Wentworth Park... God bless crooked Chicago cops... They're the best in the world.

Umm, MM, Walker is a second baseman. If it was by my idea, Walker would play second. If by SuperSteves, the DJ trade doesnt happen and he still plays second. The only problem with SuperSteve is we lose a starter that way. By mine, we get a starter cheap to replace Loaiza and we arent missing anyone. By SuperSteves, we dont have anyone to replace Loaiza and were missing our fourth starter. No one in the minors is ready to come up yet, so thats the only problem with his plan... And I didnt get anything back on French, but someone asked if Buehrle was available. Any ideas? Oh, I thought that trade was a joke... Loaiza and Borchard for pennies? All right, dude.
-
A) Kris Honel. B ) I don't know what team you've been watching but I'm fairly certain that we need a damn bat. Trade Cotts now before he implodes and get a solid lead-off hitter out of him.
-
I dunno... Valentin is on the downslide of his career... Konerko, well... He just f***ing sucks and I was screaming bloody murder when Williams inked that big extension... Crede, I still think, has big time talent. I think he just needs to spend some time in a line-up that's hitting on all cylinders so he can just slide into the background, out of the limelight were there is absolutely no pressure. The kid's supposed to have been the next Ventura, for christ's sake...
-
Valentin, Konerko, and Crede have all been bigger holes than Jimenez this year. Of those three, I'd only like 1 to stay. And Lee has been as big.
