  1. Another good move by Manuel. Threw away our sweep... :fyou
  2. There's no way Jimenez would be bunting on his own.
  3. Zambrano trying to undress Frank?
  4. I don't think Zambrano was showing up Lee as much as he was pissed over the Ball 4 call to Ordonez, which was in the exact same spot as Lee's Strike 3 call was. This umpire is unbelievable. No consistency whatsoever.
  5. Hopefully Paul has learned how to shut his yap. And, just for the record, anyone who would boo Mark doesn't know jack about baseball, IMO, anyways, so in this instance, he's correct.
  6. You can get rid of Jimenez as soon as you find a second baseman and lead-off hitter to replace him. Winning solves all problems; maybe some of these guys should shut their damn mouths (Frank Thomas, Esteban Loaiza, Magglio Ordonez excluded) until he starts playing to D'Angelo's level.
  7. Yes, but Mark wasn't called up at the start of the second half... IIRC, his MLB debut was against Anahiem either in late August or the end of the first week in September.
  8. Stats are fine, but Mulder is a better pitcher. Buehrle is as good as pitcher as Mulder.
  9. Actually Buehrle is better for wins when you compare his individual W/L % to his team's and compare it against Mulder's... Since both were called up in 2000, the Athletics have gone 335-218 (.606 W%), yet Mulder's W/L % is .598 (-9%). Compare to Buehrle, who's White Sox have goner 294-263 (.525 W%), yet his career percentage is .575% (+50%). Wins and losses are a bad way to evaluate a pitcher taking them out of context of the team. (Also, all numbers are accurate as to June 17, 2003, which hurts Buehrle since he wasn't even around until the end of 2000, when the team played relative .500 baseball, so his number is probably a couple of points higher). Not saying I would definitely pick Mark B. over Mark M., but I think this should point out Roman's baseball intelligence (or lack thereof), if it hasn't been completely obvious yet. Go Sox! Go Mark!
  10. By the way... Buehrle's numbers are better than Mulder's.... BUEHRLE = 610.0 IP, 3.73 ERA, 42-31, 344 K, 163 BB, 587 H, 1.229 WHIP, 2.110 K/BB MULDER = 691.1 IP, 3.88 ERA, 58-29, 462 K, 201 BB, 684 H, 1.280 WHIP, 2.299 K/BB But I can see how Mulder is a pretty darn good pitcher but Buehrle sucks. Paging the Flat Earth Society....
  11. There's just no point in debating... Let him think he's right.
  12. If the Sox are going to burn down the house, then I want AA/AAA/Major-league ready talent. We're a bottom heavy farm system right now, no need to overcrowd and rush.
  13. Eh, I'm pretty sure its all bulls*** anyways.
  14. Youre all still missing the obvious. EVEN IF it was a sin, people dont go to hell just because they sin. There is this thing called forgiveness. Well then what's the point of hell and sin, etc.? I take Bart Simpson's attitude... Live a life of vice and then have a deathbed confession.
  15. You know, for every time I've seen Mark say anything about his want to play in St. Louis, I think I've seen 5-10 articles where he says how much he thinks he is indebted to the Sox and really wants to stay here for a while. But I don't get a subscription to the Mark Buehrle Sucks magazine, so...
  16. Bring back Von Joshua...
  17. Sign Sweeney and this is an excellent draft. 2-4 years and this will be one of the strongest minor league systems in the league again.
  18. Well then he's doing whatever they do in hell... Pushing boulders up hills, freezing, trying to drink out of a lake that always drops a little lower than your mouth, listening to Hanson... Whatever. I'm no master of theology.
  19. Jesus hung around with whores and prostitutes so if masturbation is a sin, he's burning in hell.
  20. Bla... Just another crappy, overpriced clothing store. You can get better s*** at a thrift or department store any day of the week.
  21. Hopefully with players ballots being distributed to get rid of a lot of the players the manager picks baseball is slowly moving away from letting the fans pick the players.

    Ouch

Yeah, it just has more to do with the fact that Paul sucks. :fyou Williams for wasting your money on an average first baseman (at best). Here's 10 bucks that says Reinsdorf cries poor this offseason while handing out fat checks to this sack of s***.
  23. Problem is he has been putting together solid starts... Problem is no one on this damn team can string together any runs. He easily could have 7-9 wins.
